07. Bestfriends

A/N : I am just crazy about Eren's man-bun. So yeahhh I'll include that in this chapter. Sorry but I just can't get over it. Okay? I'm just-ACKK!

Mikasa's POV

I play with Akihiro while Eren is taking a little nap at the sofa. Well, I am not really playing with Akihiro, I am actually reading a magazine with those hot topics in it, which I am not really interested in. Akihiro is just sitting on Eren's back while pretending that his toy airplanes were flying for real.

"We're-Oops, Eren is sleeping. Have to be quiet." Mrs. Jaeger said, while Dr. Jaeger carefully put the paperbags down.

"Yeah, he took care of Aki more than I did. He might be exhausted." I smiled and looked at sleeping Eren. His eyes are what I admire the most, sadly, I can't see them when he is sleeping, the only time I have the courage to stare at him.

But he would look creepy if he sleeps with his eyes open.

Mrs. and Dr. Jaeger started preparing the food they bought from a fast food chain. I remember Eren once told me when we were like, twelve? He said he likes the breast part in chicken the most but he would rarely get one because whenever they buy a bucket, it was always full of legs.

"Mikasa, do you want the breast part?" Mrs. Jaeger asked.

"I think Eren likes it better. I'll just have the thigh part." I smiled.

"Okay then. I'll save the breast part for Eren." Mrs. Jaeger then separated the chicken breast for Eren.

"Do you want to eat with us?" Dr. Jaeger asked.

"I'll just eat when Eren wakes up." I answered and they both nodded.

"How about Akihiro?" Dr. Jaeger asked again.

"Mommy, Daddy eat." I think he meant "I'll eat with Mommy, Daddy."

"He answered." Mrs. Jaeger laughed.

Minutes later, both Mrs. and Dr. Jaeger finished eating. And at that moment, Eren woke up, but was never able to stand up because Akihiro was still playing on his back.

"Daddy up!" Akihiro then stopped playing and hugged Eren from his back.

"Aki, why don't we eat lunch first?" I asked and carried him to the dining area not far from the living room.

I prepared Akihiro's mashed potato and I prepared my food too. Eren stood up and went to the bathroom. Maybe to fix himself.

And when he came out, his long hair is in a man-bun. I suddenly felt conscious of my raven hair. And I felt it again, the different electricity that bolted through my system. This is it again.

"Mikasa, the gravy." I'm glad Mrs. Jaeger talked. I wasn't aware that I was staring at Eren for too long that I almost spilled the gravy on the floor.

"I'm sorry. My mind is like wooh. And not in the right condition." I playfully swirled my fingers around my head, acting real crazy.

"Yeah, you need rest." Eren smiled and took the spoon and gravy I was holding earlier.

"I'm gonna feed Akihiro and you eat." He said.

"What about you?" I worriedly asked.

"I can eat while feeding him. How about you, Mom? Dad? Have you two eaten?" He asked his parents.

"Yes. Mikasa and Akihiro wanted to join you eat. So they waited for you." Mrs. Jaeger smiled.

Eren sat down and grabbed the food Mrs. Jaeger prepared for him, and the food I prepared for Aki.

"Potato!" Aki said excitedly.

"Okay, here it goes!" Eren said, smiling while swaying the spoon with a decent amount of mashed potato in different directions like a kid playing with his toy airplane before putting it on Aki's mouth.

"Yum!" Aki smiled.

"Kids, we forgot to tell you but my wife and I are going on a little vacation this Christmas and will be back before December thirty-one. We will be leaving later." Dr. Jaeger said.

"We'll be spending Christmas? Like..just the three of us?" Eren asked.

"Yes. Take care of Akihiro okay? Or I will pinch your ears a thousand times painful, Eren and Mikasa!" Mrs. Jaeger joked and we all let out a small chuckle.

Dr. Jaeger then kissed Mrs. Jaeger's forehead and smiled.

Eren and I looked at each other like it's something cheesy and something we definitely won't-no, let me reconstruct that.

"Okay, lovebirds. Just pack up already." Eren said and continued on feeding Aki.

Once he was done, he washed the dishes while I play with Aki. It's almost time for bath and Mrs. Jaeger is surely busy with packing so I called Eren instead.

"Eren, could you please help me-", I was cut off by his loud YES.

When he realized he was too loud, his cheeks turned red.

"Yes, sure I'll help you. Of course. What are friends for?" He smiled.

Friends. Okay. Ouch.

I forgot the thought of that and the little sting I felt on my heart. He helped me with Aki when he was done with his chores.

It was easier to bathe Aki today. He was busy playing with the bubbles and toys around him.

-Hours Later-

Mrs. and Dr. Jaeger left, 12AM. And Akihiro is already asleep at that moment, he never got to say bye to them.

Eren is still in his man-bun and I just can't take my eyes off of him even in his sleep.

Friends. Friends. No. Bestfriends.
