Is this how it ends?
All his hard work.
All the waiting.
All the planning.
All the hurting.
None of it ever seemed to end. Until it did.
Christopher stared at the lifeless form resting on the operating table.
This didn't end the way he wanted it to. He didn't know what he wanted until he had lost it.
But there was one thing that he had lost, that he could get back.
He dropped his head into his hands.
He would finish the story the way that she wanted it to end.
