Sophia started consoling to rid herself of the hallucination as well as to regain memory. After four months of consoling at the hospital she started to remember her family and small things about herself.

David and Josh went back to college after New Years for the second semester. They came back every now and then, to visit with Sophia and see how she was doing.

I broke down yesterday and asked for your diary. Sorry. I was thinking I could give it to you so you could read it. But reading though it... I’m sorry for all that you went through and I don’t know if I want to let you know about your life. But it could help, like a scrapbook of your life. I told your parents about the idea, but they didn’t want to let you remember the way your life was. But they thought about it again yesterday and asked me to show you your diary. I hope it will help you more then it would hurt you. Oh, and by the way, Happy Birthday, Sophia.

That night was going to be her 18th birthday, the whole family was going to be there along with Andrew and his parents. The room looked more homely now that Sophia wanted to see more then just walls. Flowers in paint vases, a rug on the floor as well as a small shelf of books that she doesn’t read.

“Happy Birthday, Sophia!” Everyone looked so happy and cheerful.

“Thank you, everyone.” Sophia gave a small smile she had practiced for hours. “Thanks for all the gifts, too.” She had gotten many things from her old bedroom with newer things for the room.

One was a family photo from three years ago, just two years before the accident happened, their latest photo togeather.

“David?” Sophia asked looking at Josh, he shook his head.

“It’s Josh,” He points to David, “That’s David.” She groaned.

“I’m never going to learn the difference again.”

“I’m sure you will,” David said, “Don’t be so hard on yourself, sis.”

They had asked if there could take her out for the day. Doctor Lee agreed, as long as they brought her back before visiting hours ended and gave her the prescription.

“Here, but on these clothes.” Sophia’s mom handed her and she took them into the bathroom and took her time putting them on. When Sophia finished she looked at herself in the mirror. A pale pink shirt, denim jeans and vest, shocks and tennis shoes.

“You look so much better in normal clothes.” David remarked as Sophia tried to smile again, everyone was so nice even if it didn’t mean anything to her.

“Let’s go, you have been outside this building for almost a year.” Her dad said. Her mobility wasn’t the best, having always being on the same bed for a long time.
