Chapter 36

Daichi's Pov:

I walked inside and saw Haru watching T.V on the couch. Yuna was playing with number blocks. Ren was also watching T.V. Koshi looked back at me and I sighed I closed the door and kissed his cheek. He was cooking rice and baked chicken.

"I need to talk to you later." I whispered in his ear.

"Oh about what?"

"I'll tell you later."

I went to go take a shower. When I got got out I help set the table. I put the kids plate to the table and Koshi called them to the table. They came to eat, I took Yuna's plate and Koshi handed me a paper plate with less food on it. I made my plate and sat down. Koshi sat down next to me and we all started to eat. I noticed a strange smell, Ren eyes widened and Koshi just smiled. Ren stopped eating and I saw she started panicking.

"M-mr. Koshi may we be excused!"

"Sure. How about you take your food in you're room. Just try not to make a mess alright."

"Thank you!"

Ren grabbed hers and Haru plate. She rushed Haru into her room and I blinked in confusion.

"Welp." Koshi said stretching. Yuna dropped her plate on the floor after she finished eating.

"Daichi... you do know that it may take a while for them to fully trust you right?"

"Of course. Was that Haru's smell?"

"Yeah it was. Ren talked to me today, I don't think it's my place to tell you but it was pretty emotional."

"Oh... I'm glad she at least trusts you easily so she won't think we're against her."

"Yeah so what did you need to talk about." Koshi said picking up Yuna's plate.

"Their surnames... should we change it. Or should we keep their original surname it's pretty important so we can file their information and send it to the hospital."

"Hmmmm. I'll ask the kids after a while."

"Thanks."

He threw Yuna's plate away and put our in the sink. I started washing then and he smiled. He walked up to Ren's door and knocked. I heard a muffled 'Who is it?'

"It's Mr.Koshi!"

"Come in!"

I heard the door open the close and I sighed. I dried the dishes off and put them away.

Sugawara's Pov:

I walked inside Ren's room. Haru was still eating. Ren looked away from me.

"I-I'm sorry..."

"It's okay he understands."

"...He's not mad?"

"Nope."

"Oh... I- I feel bad."

"It's going to be alright. I won't say he  definitely didn't notice Haru's smell cause he did."

"He did and he didn't do anything?"

"Nope."

I grabbed her plate and Haru handed me his. She came with me and Haru walked passed us. Ren walked up to Daichi and she apologized. He smiled at her. I saw that he had made a cup of coffee.

"Hey don't sweat it."

Ren looked back at Haru who was watching T.V. I put both their plates in the sink and started washing them. Daichi came towards me and Ren stared at both of us. Daichi and I washed the rest of the dishes together.

"Alright I'm going to go give Yuna a bath."

"Alright."

He kissed my cheek and picked up Yuna. Ren looked back at him then she walked up to me.

"Mr. Daichi doesn't hurt you does he?"

"Of course not."

"I-I'm sorry..."

"For what?"

"F-for being so conscious of Mr.Daichi..."

"Ren, we understand completely. You can interrogate him if you want to just do whatever makes you comfortable okay?" I said looking straight at her.

Her eyes glistened and she nodded. Haru hid behind me and I picked him up smiling. I felt a wetness on my shirt and I sighed. I knocked on the bathroom door and Daichi opened it Yuna was in the tub.

I smiled and waved to Yuna. I closed the door behind me and put Haru down. He crouched himself down and hid behind the toilet staring at Daichi.

"Oh right I'll leave."

"Okay could you wash Yuna's and Haru's sheets please."

"Sure."

As soon as Daichi left, Haru came out of hiding. Yuna played with the towel dipping it in and out of the water. I undressed Haru putting his pull-up in the trash. I put him in the tub and Yuna completely ignored him.

Haru started splashing in the water. I did get wet. Yuna looked at him and looked at the water. She splashed him back and he smiled. I brushed their teeth with edible toothpaste. I washed both of them and dried them. I got both of their clothes. After they had their clothes on Yuna started letting out her smell. Haru looked at her confused. He walked towards me and Yuna looked at me confused.

"It's okay Haru she you're new sister she won't hurt you."

He looked at me and walked back to Yuna. He looked at her and Yuna patted his head. Haru smiled at her and I awed. Haru kissed Yuna's cheek and I awed again. Yuna cheeks flushed and she opened the door. Haru ran up to Daichi and he froze.
