i don't have a book for harry and miriam yet, so i figured i'd post this here.

i'm feeling a little tired, if I'm honest. so many people have been reposting work, including mine, and passing it as their own. tumblr is very frustrating because nobody reblogs posts even though that's how you get word out about your writing. i want to write a lot, but it's so discouraging. i really do prefer wattpad, so thank you for being the light in this dark room. it really does mean a lot to me. i'm always more excited about posting here than on tumblr because of the community and comments. i feel very loved here. so thank you very much and enjoy reading.

as always, my ko-fi link is on my profile if you're feeling generous. thank you. this is after harry and miriam get back together.

(also, if you have any book recs, please send them my way. i really enjoy reading romance)

Harry gives Miriam a tutorial on how to get his signature makeup look. He sits in front of her, taking out his makeup bag and presenting it to her. He pulls out an eyeshadow palette that's mainly dark tones and he points at the lightest shade. It's a dark brown, but it's not very pigmented. He says that's the best part.

"You want to use an angled brush," he tells her, rummaging through the bag to grab his brushes. "My eyeliner is usually blurry and smeared, but you need to get it on with a precise brush first, alright? Or else you'll look like you have a black eye." He gives her a look. "And I've looked like I've had a black eye before I perfected my method."

Miriam has been begging him for a tutorial ever since he started wearing the eyeliner again. It took two dates for him to admit, while a bit tipsy, that he stopped wearing eyeliner in Los Angeles in fear he'd get ridiculed, however, once she gave him that extra boost of support, it's safe to say that not only is Harry confident in his eyeliner, but Miriam is absolutely obsessed. To an outsider, it may seem like she's being annoying, constantly asking him to sit down and show her how he gets his look, but to Harry, it just solidifies how much he means to her. After a few bad anxiety days, a little support is all he needs from the woman he loves.

So here they are, on her living room floor, Harry's makeup splayed over the carpet. Miriam has given him a hand held mirror, watching him with wide, curious eyes. She nods along to whatever he says. When he raises the angled brush for her to look at, when he taps his finger against the dark brown shadow. It takes all her strength not to grab him and kiss him breathless. She'll refrain from doing that for a bit longer, though, because he seems so comfortable now explaining why he uses shadow before the eyeliner itself.

"You're mapping out the path of your eyeliner," he explains, gently dipping the brush into the eyeshadow. "And don't pick up too much. This is supposed to be really light. And we're going to put it on now." He lets her hold the mirror in front of his face as he concentrates, sweeping the shadow from the middle of his eyelid and outwards. He doesn't blink, mouth slightly ajar. "There!"

Miriam touches his chin and inspects the eyeshadow. It stops half an inch outside his last eyelash. She watches him do the same to the other lid.

"You can always do more." He holds the brush up and demonstrates without touching his skin. "It can go up like this, or even more out. This is just how I like it. And I think it has to do with eye shape too. Your eyes are rounder than mine, so to get them to look longer, you'll probably have to do a little flick at the end. But it's alright if you want to keep your eyes round as well. You'll look good either way."

"I want to do it like yours," she says, dropping her hand from his chin. "We can match when we go to the store later."

Harry can't help but laugh, pursing his lips. "Alright, sounds good. Ready for the next step?"
