Where Demons Hide

Amber's POV

This is not good. That is the first thing that came in my mind after hearing that voice. I looked back at Xav and find him looking in the direction of the intruder. I also look back and give my best glare to Ace as he stares at us in shock.

He than composes himself and started to make his way towards us. Xavier's hold tightens on me when Ace gets near us. "What the hell do you think you are doing siting on a complete stranger's lap!? Are you out of your mind?! "Ace all but yella at me and Xavier obviously didn't like it so he growled lowly in warning.

Ace stops in his tracks and stares wide eyed at Xavier. "Did he just- oh my God! He just growled!!" Suddenly Xavier stood up with me still in his hold " Boy if you don't shut the hell up I will-" "You will do nothing!" I cut him off before Ace faints. Xavier's eyes snap towards me and I give my best mean glare to shut the hell up and let me handle it.

"Ace." I call him but he is completely lost in his mind just staring at Xavier. "ACE!" I say or more like shout at him to get his attention. And sure enough his head snaps towards me. He opens and closes his mouth,resembling a fish out of water. I wait for him to finish and just stand or should I say just stay in Xavier's arms and fold my own.

Finally Ace sighs and looks at me expectantly and motions to the both of us "Just tell me already! Before I loose my mind!" I sigh and try to wiggle my way out of Xavier's arms. Key word: try. The beast just tightens his hold on me and growls lowly. I sigh again. I seem to be doing that alot lately.

I roll my eyes and just ignore the growl that came with it. "Ace, this is Xavier and Xav this is- you know who it is-ok anyway Ace, he is my um- boyfriend?" I look at Xav for reassurance and he glares at Ace and nods slightly. Ace looks like he is about to shut down any moment so I nudge Xav and motion towards Ace hoping he gets what I'm saying.

He sighs and puts me down on my feet and I go towards Ace to help him. I grab him by his arm and all but drag him back to the house. Just after talking a few steps I realized that I don't know the way back. Damn it. I turn to look back at Xavier and see him glaring at my hand in Ace's arm. I sigh and call him. He looks up at me. " I don't the way back cause someone wanted this to be a surprise." He smirked slightly and made his way towards us.

He held my hand and lead us back to our cottage. Ace was very silent all the way back and kept glancing our way. Xavier seemed unfazed but I on the other hand was very nervous. Could it be the calm before the storm. Oh no don't be it. Once we reach at the front door Xavier pulled my hand to make me stop and turn to him. I look at him expectantly. He glanced behind me, at Ace maybe than looked at me and leaned towards me I got on my tip toes meeting him halfway.

Our lips moved in sync and I felt fireworks, again. But than we heard an obnoxious and obviously fake gag. We both broke apart, reluctantly. He looked at me with such intense eyes that my knees began to weaken. "Please can you both not in front of me please. I still have alot to know about this." Ace said gesturing towards the both of us. Xavier leaned over to my ear and whispered lowly "I will see you later, love." With that he kissed my temple and made his way to the forest. All the while my eyes following him untill he disappeared.

"You, miss, have a lot of expansion to do." Ace grabbed my hand and dragged me inside. Thankfully grandma and uncle were in the kitchen, talking so they didn't notice us going to my room. Reaching my room, Ace pushed me inside and closed the door and stood in front of it cause the lock was broken. All thanks to Ace a little while ago. But that is a story for another time right now I have to think a way out of this situation fast. "Amber." He says in a warning tone telling me to tell the whole thing truthfully.
