Where Demons Hide

A week or something has passed since Ace came the other day and Xavier and I were nearly caught but due to his super abities he quickly ran and hid behind the trees. I also have been reading the book that I found on werewolves and I was actually very stunned to say the least.

People say that they are mythical creatures but when I asked Xavier he told me that they really do exist and live a life just like us. They would even be living around us and we wouldn't know. I also found out that they have super abilities. They are very strong and have heightened senses like enhanced sight, hearing and smell. And of course they have great agility and speed.

I have also been asking Xavier to tell me other than what is written in the book but he simply reply with 'time will tell' like seriously. Why can't he just tell me. Maybe it's the fact that you always ask him about what is it that is between you two and why can't you stay away from him for much longer. Of course my stupid mind had to say that.

You see, during these past few day Xavier and I have been spending time together and getting to know each other. It turns out that he know quite a lot about him and when I asked him how he knew so much about me he would simply say that he is very observant and likes to keep a close eye on me. And when I try to get to know about him he wouldn't give a lot away.

Looks like the big bad wolf doesn't like to talk much about him. The memory of the time when Jupiter tried to attack him, seeing that he was a stranger  brought a smile to my lips. He was so calm and chill with that fact that a fox was trying to harm him and he was completely unfazed by it. After some scolding and explanation, Jupiter finally stopped attacking him.

"Amber, Ace is here!" Grandma's yell brings me out of my thoughts. Oh! I just remembered that earlier today I had finished that book I was reading and I really wanted to know more about werewolves. To be honest, they are quite interesting creatures. Anyways I called Ace and asked him to come pick me up because I want to go to the library. And now he is here which means I have to go.

Yay! I love going to town! Note the sarcasm. When ever I go to town the girls look at me like I'm some nasty piece of shit and the boys look at me like I'm a piece of meat. I honestly don't know what is wrong with them. Or maybe something is wrong with me? I don't know maybe some things you never find out.

I quickly dash down the stairs and hug grandma before leaving with Ace. "So why do you want to go to the library? You could have just asked me to get you the books you need." He says while opening the door for me to enter the truck. I smiled at him in thanks. That's when I see Xavier glaring daggers at me. Then he turns around and disappears into the forest.

Huh? Wired. "I finished a book today and it was very interesting so I wanted to get some more like that one." I say with a shrug as he starts the truck. He nods and continues to concentrate on the road. We sit there in silence and I stare out the window at the passing scenery.

About thirty minutes later we make it to town and I could see the library a little ahead of us. Ace pulls up in the parking lot and we get out and make our way into the library. As we are making our way into the library I see a very familiar person crossing the street. I quietly gasped when I see who that person.

What the hell is he doing here? How did he know I was here?  Then I mentally face palm. Of course he could have just followed me or could have sensed me here. He is a werewolf after all. My eyes lock with his' and I give him a puzzled glance but he only glares at Ace who was now holding my hand. I smirked and walked even close to him to which I see him scowl at me.
