Amber's POV

With Xavier's hand held tightly in mind I take determined steps towards the front door. When I was about to open the door Xavier pulled me back to him. He gave my forehead a chaste kiss "Everything will be fine. You don't have to worry. " I nod and give him a peck on his lips and smile. I go to open the door but he beats me to it and opens it for me. I smile at him and enter with him trailing behind me. He closes the door and we turn towards the kitchen where everyone is sitting. Reaching out seats, Xav pulls out my chair and I sit on it with a smile. Being a gentleman, I see. He follows my motion and sits on his seat. He places a warm hand on my knee and I helps to calm me down a bit.

Uncle Mike clears his throat from across the table and all attention is on him. He looks at grandma to ask for permission to which she nods with a smile. Uncle than glares at Xavier than looks at me, his eyes soften. " Xavier Knight, what are your intentions with our daughter?" At this I roll my eyes where as grandma literally face palms. " Mike! We talked about this!" Grandma hissed. Uncle held his hands up in surrender "Isn't that what everyone says at a time like this?" He than looks at Ace for confirmation. Before he could respond, uncle cuts him off "Oh how would you know. You never went to a girls house."Ace's ears start to turn red and he bows his head. I look towards Xavier and see him trying not to smile. I nudge him with my elbow and he looks at me. I just shakes my head and sigh.

"I thought this was going to be serious. Tell me why I was so nervous about it?" I asked to no one in particular. Grandma shakes her head "You know what? Just let me do the talking." She says with all seriousness and looks directly at Xavier. And now the nerves are back cause grandma is serious. I hold onto Xav's hand on my leg and look at him. He too had a serious look on his face. "Alpha Xavier Knight" grandma addresses him with his full title. Xav stiffens and I rub my thumb against his knuckles to calm him down. He gives my hand a gentle squeeze and relaxes a bit. "Xavier is alright, ma'am" Xav replays. Grandma cocks an eyebrow at him "You called Fred your father and you call me 'ma'am'." Xavier's eyes widen slightly as he stares at grandma in shock. She smiles at him "I am his wife I know things about him. Also I read his diary. " I chuckle at that and shake my head. Xavier relaxes a bit in his seat and sighed softly "Look, I know you all want to know what my intentions are and how will I treat Amber and I want you all to be reassured that no harm will ever come to her as long as I'm alive. I will not be able to live with it. And as for me I- we will never even think about hurting her in any way." His eyes flashing to a darker shade, indicating that his wolf also had some control.

Ace sunk into his seat a little further as uncle got rigid. Grandma smiles and gets up from her seat and walks towards Xav. She places a hand on his shoulder and he stands to face her. She cups his cheeks and I watch with my breath held as she pulls him down and kisses his forehead. I grin like an idiot and watch as Xav pulls her in a tight embrace. I stand just as they part and both there eyes were glistering with tears. I make my way over to them and stand beside Xavier, taking his hand in mine and giving him a soft smile. I look at grandma and ask "So what do you think? Do we have your blessings or does he has to charm you some more?" I say with a wink. She chuckles and looks at Xav than me and nods " Yes you both have my blessings." Than we looks at uncle expectantly, he sighs " I can't say no, can I?" Grandma and Xav both growl a 'no' and I look at them wide eyed. Uncle sighs again and gets up from his seat to make his way to us.

He places an arm around my shoulders and pulls me against his side "Look, Xavier, I honestly don't care if you are a werewolf or not I will fuck you up if you even think of hurting her." He warned and Xav lowered his head nodding "Understood, sir." Uncle lets out a hearty laugh " Sir? Sir! Oh come on. Call me Mike or something." He said and slapped a hand on his back. Xavier nods "Mike." Than Ace cleared his throat and we all turn to him. I almost forgot about him. Almost. He came forward with his "game face" on. Who was he trying to fool. Xav?! Hah. He stands in front of Xavier and tries to look serious but I knew him better. Xav crossed his big arms in front of his chest and Ace's expression crumbles. He sighs heavily and his shoulders slump. " Look man, I know I of all people cannot do anything to you. So please take care of her and don't ever hurt her. And please Amm if ever you need me than you can always come to us. But I hope that won't happen and he provides you everything. You have my blessings as well. " He pulled me in a warm hug and  I tear up.
