Infinity Reaction [ABANDONED] as of Now....

Ch#13- Calm Before the Storm

[Cut to Thanos and Gamora appearing on sand dunes alternating with shallow pools around the base of a mountain. The sun is in full eclipse, lending eerie lighting to the scene. Screen title: VORMIR]

"Okay." Gamora murmured, Everyone tensed at seeing Thanos, just after the revelation.

Thanos: The stone had better be up there... for your sister's sake.

"That Monster!" Scott seethed.

[The walk up the mountain seems to be long, but not difficult. Paths worn by centuries or more of feet lead up to the summit, where Thanos and Gamora encounter a floating hooded figure].

Stonekeeper: Welcome, Thanos, son of A'lars. Gamora, daughter of Thanos.

"I know that voice." Steve whispered but because of silence in the room everyone heard him, most thinking how an 1940s era Person who never set a foot out of Earth would know someone who's out there in universe.

Thanos: You know us?

Stonekeeper: It is my curse to know all who journey here.

Thanos: Where's the Soul Stone?

Stonekeeper: You should know... it extracts a terrible price.

Thanos: I am prepared.

"Of course you're prepared!" Sam scoffed.

Stonekeeper: We all think that at first. [The figure touches down and glides out of the shadows, revealing the face of who we know to be Johann "The Red Skull" Schmidt from Captain America: The First Avenger.] We are all wrong.

"Schmidt!?" Steve launched in air from his seat. The shock of Captain America shouting pulled everyone else into standing also.

Fury, Maria, Clint and Natasha were the only one to guess what triggered the Captain, based on his declaration of identity of the Hooded Figure. Because of their SHIELD connection.

Everyone else was in dismay.

"What happened, Steve." Bucky said while holding the now ashen looking Steve. While he was very much out of those trigger word's control, but his memories were in fragments, just some old pieces of information, anything else was wiped clean by Hydra.

"Th-That's Johann Schmidt. The Red Skull. Hydra's Red Skull. He Should be Dead." Steve said pointing at the Screen.

"What do you mean!? Where do you see him last?" Tony asked his Teammate and Friend, worried.

"He was on the Valkyrie. On the way to bombard Major Cities of Europe and America. I was fighting him when he got hold of the Tessera..." Steve trailed off.

"Tesseract. The Space Stone." Loki completed everyone's thoughts.

[The Stonekeeper guides them to a temple-like structure at the summit.]

Thanos: How is it you know this place so well?

Red Skull: A lifetime ago, I, too, sought the stones. I even held one in my hand. But it cast me out, banished me here. Guiding others to a treasure I cannot possess.

"That's what happened." Bucky said absent-mindedly.

[They stop on a semicircular engraving overlooking a sheer drop. It descends in three shallow steps to a final half-circle cutout, the whole bisected by a deep cut that runs between the two spires behind them. Far, far below is a full circle with similar engraved decoration.]
