Isabella's thoughts went back to Catherine telling her about the rumour, that the witch, the sister of Daphne had created this for the daughter of the man she loved... but what if that wasn't just for the man she loved but the daughter she loved too?

"You're my..." Isabella couldn't say the words

"Yes and look at how that necklace is lighting up, it knows you" she exclaims in pure joy, Daisy pulls Catherine into her arms while Isabella stays as stiff as a board, she had never known a true family and yet now they all seemed to be coming out of the woodwork.

"Well yes, I have the same affliction as my mother, that makes it shine" Isabella shrugs, she wondered with Daisy knew what had happened to her daughter all those years ago

As if reading her mind, Daisy swiped a tear away from her eye "Your mother would've been so proud, I can show you where she now rests if you like"

This was all too much for Isabella who stumbled her way to the threadbare couch and almost collapsed onto it. Normally, she would have never have done something like that but her head was swimming uncomfortably.

"And as for the necklace, it isn't about you being unaffected by silver, it is about the power you hold inside" Daisy grins "Your poor mother was never one for the werewolf life but Mathew, your grandfather, well his genes won I guess and try as she might she couldn't even master the simplest of spells for the youngest of witches. Your mother just thought this pretty jewellery as it barely shimmered in her hands but in yours, it glows"

"What does it mean?" Isabella asked she had no intentions of the necklace being a topic of conversation and yet it seemed one of the most important things in her life

"Well the witch genes in you won, I'm guessing you've struggled with your werewolf side" Daisy predicts

"You could say that but I never truly had the chance to explore that side of me" Isabella mutters

"Maybe my dear but it is likely due to the power of the witches of your history fighting for your attention" Daisy smiles before being so excited she can barely get her words out "You have so much to learn"

"I'm not here about that, I only found out about you not long ago... I'm here about your sister and what she was involved in"

The smile falls from Daisy's face as she thinks about her sister, the soft smile that once lit up her face is darkened with a thunderous look.

"I don't think of her often" Daisy mutters looking anywhere other than Isabella's face "I am ashamed of her, we had the most wonderful parents who raised us to be good people and she just went off of the tracks"

"Why? Surely something must've happened for her to turn so... bad" Isabella questions, it just didn't make sense how two sisters could turn out so differently

"When Daphne was around 24 she met the love of her life but the problem was, he was the love of her life but unfortunately it wasn't the same for him. This man, Alx was a werewolf, he found Daphne exciting because she was a witch, made her do spells to help him and she did it because she loved him but eventually he grew bored and then the knife in Daphne's heart was that he found his mate" Daisy explains

"I'm sure that was horrible but mates are our one true pairing from the Moon Goddess and there is never any excuse to try and wipe out a group of people" Isabella says angrily, she couldn't bring herself to feel sorry for that woman

"No of course not, I'm just trying to explain how it started. Daphne was so angry she tried to attack him, she tried to use to silver and it just so happened like he was like you and she failed"

Isabella felt dumbfounded that this had all started from love, that a woman who appeared to be so cruel could be capable of love. This woman allowed her own niece to be captured, tortured and raped all because a man didn't want her a number of years ago.

"So how did we get here?" Isabella asks

"Daphne at the time knew she wasn't strong enough to take him down with magic but right from being a child she was persuasive, she used to convince our parents I had actually broken the rules. This got worse when she was older because she had the beauty to help her be even more convincing" Daisy explains

"Wait... I read one of your letters, wasn't Daphne angry with you for falling in love with a werewolf when she had done the same?" Isabella asks, every time she think she is getting more answers from someone it leads to more questions

"She claims now that she had never loved Alx and she couldn't believe that I was opening myself up to humiliation for when Mathew's mate came along, she didn't know of course that was never going to happen," Daisy says sadly before continuing "When I met Mathew he was a shadow of a man, his mate had been killed in a house fire and he was in so much pain and I helped him, he was a good man, the best man"

Despite the sadness, Isabella finds herself smiling softly as she can see the love shining out of Daisy's eyes, Isabella could see that there was denying the love between Mathew and Daisy if everything else hadn't have been so complicated then Isabella knew she would've had a good life... then again, without it being so twisted and complicated, Isabella would have never existed.

"And what about the King?" Isabella asks

"Oh come on Isabella, I can already tell that you are a smart girl, you already know she didn't love him. Could barely even stand him if I remember right but he was good for the task she had in hand, she convinced him that people like you, your mother and father were a threat that needed 'dealing' with and the man with the most power wasn't willing to take any chances" Daisy explains what Isabella did already know deep down

"What happened to her?"

"Well at first, I sympathised with the King, she had whispered hateful things in his ear and but then he suddenly wanted all the power, would get angry at Daphne, I heard rumours of a big fight but I don't know. What I do know is that her house was found burnt down and she was never heard of again" Daisy shrugs as if this was completely normal

"She killed herself?" Isabella squeaks

"That is what everyone else says but I know my sister, she definitely did not do that, it isn't her style but nobody as far as I am aware has heard from her - I've done everything I can to track her and found nothing but I'm sure she is out there," Daisy said

This made Isabella frightened, more frightened somehow than she ever had been before, at least with people like Dominic she could see them, knew what she looked like and knew what to expect but with Daphne, if she was out there were so many unknowns and posed a real threat that could not be prepared for.
