Chapter 1 - Surprise!

It was just an ordinary day at the compound for all the avengers, or so they thought. They where all sitting around the table in the meeting room, discussing their next mission when all of a sudden, JARVIS interrupts them.

"Sorry sir, but I'm afraid you have some unexpected company".

All the avengers look out the window to see Director Fury walking in, with someone walking behind him.
"This can't be good" says Tony in a worried voice.

As Fury walks in, you can feel the tension in the room.

"What's going on?" Asks Steve I'm his captain voice.

"The mission, you need some help with this one, and I believe, some of you already know her" he says as he looks to Tony.

"What are you talking about?" Says Tony in a curious voice. His eyebrows furrowed

"He means me" you say as you walk in to the room.

As you look around you can feel the tension in the room, cut it with a knife. You kept a sarcastic and fun smile upon your lips. Best to start out on the right foot, right?

"Y/n?! What are you doing here?" Asks Tony in confused but angry voice as he makes his way towards you. Hands in his pockets, his usual slow walk.

"wait, you know her?" Asks Bruce.

Everyone is confused as to how Tony knows you and why he is so angry.

As Tony walks closer to you, you look at his face and try to analyse it. In his eyes you see worry, hurt and anger.

"Miss me brother?" You give him a sarcastic smile.

He looks in your eyes and you can tell for sure now, he is really mad at you. "Six, six god dam years you've been gone. Where the hell have you been?!" He shouts.

You don't flinch as he spits in your face. I get why he is mad but still, You think to yourself.

"First of all, get out of my face" you blow in his face, making him quickly take a few steps back. "second of all, I don't owe you or anyone for that matter an explanation for anything! I'm here because Director Fury told me you're little gang..." you explain pointing towards everyone staring at you, "couldn't deal with this mission alone and needed some help."

You look around the room and see everyone staring at you both.

"Well, are you going to introduce me to everyone then?" Tony gives you a death glare as he returns to his seat.

"This is agent y/n stark." Booms fury, everyone immediately turn to him.

"I'm Steve Rogers," Steve says as you take a seat beside him and a woman with red hair.

"I'm Natasha" Nat explains while you are sitting down and there is an awkward silence.

Everyone slowing introduces themselves. Still in sock of what they just witnessed. The genius billionaire playboy has a family and never even told any of them. Something must be wrong.

"She will be helping you with this mission as it has to go down with out a hitch, understand? Now if you don't mind leaving the little family feud until a later date, we have to get down to business." Fury states as he glares towards Tony who doesn't say anything back.

No quickly remark, god he must be actually surprised I'm back.

After the meeting is over Fury stands up and walks towards to the door, as if he is about to leave, but stops and says, "and by the way, y/n will be staying here, within the compound, got it stark?" He says and once again glares at Tony who has I'm fed up with this shit written all over his face.
