Ten - The Desperate "X" (Part 1)

Currently, you were walking out of the school with your best friend, Minnie.

Minnie: " You know we can study for the project at my hou-", she was saying when you cut her.

Y/n: "NO!!! NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS!!",you said shocked by her offer.

Minnie: "Come on Y/n! Just move on already.", she said eyeing you with disappointment

Your eyes widened at this.

Y/n: "I have! It's just.......it's awkward.", you said with your head hanging low.

Minnie: "You both should at least sit and talk to each other once.", she said with a little bit of worry in her voice.

Y/n: "What good does it have? We should let it be as it is or more difficulties will build up.", you said sadly.

Minnie: "Ok ok don't be so sentimental.", she said hugging you.

Y/n: "But where do we go n-", you were cut off by Minnie's phone ringing.

Minnie: "Oh wait a min who is thi- Oh it's Ten oppa! Wanna talk?"she asked teasingly.

You immediately shook your head becoming a tomato by blushing so hard. You just kept your quiet and tried not to hear her conversation but miserably failed.

Minnie cut the call and turned to you grinning. You eyed her curiously.

Minnie: "Bro is coming to pick me and he said if I am with any friend then he can drop them too. And I obviously know that he knows who I am with frequently so I think he's trying to talk to you. What do you think?", she asked you still grinning.

Y/n: "I think this is all stupid and I should be heading to my house now.", you turned around to go to your house when you saw Ten's car coming your way. You stopped on your tracks shocked. The car stopped a little ahead of you and you saw Ten staring at you.

You turned on your tracks and were about to head the other way when Minnie grabbed your arm and led you to the car. You tried to break yourself free from her grip but she was much stronger.

Y/n: "Yah! What are you doing?!", you said furiously.

Minnie: "Shut up Y/n! You'll thank me later.", she said winking at you.

She took you near the car opening the passenger door and pushing you inside to sit. You and Ten both looked at her confused.

Minnie: "Oppa, I have something to do in the school so can you please take Y/n to her house. She doesn't have any convenience for her right now. And you definitely know where and how far is her house.", she said faking an innocent smile and winking afterwards.

Ten: "But-"

Minnie: "Thank you Oppa! bye Y/n!", she said running inside the school leaving you two alone to suffer.

You sat there shook not knowing what to do. And the same situation was going on your left.

Y/n: "Ac-actually I can go by myself, thank you.", you said without looking at Ten and were about to get off when he grabbed your arm. You looked at him in shock and then at his hand which was grabbing your arm.

He followed your gaze and when he knew what he did he immediately backed off and cleared his throat.

Ten: "You- you shouldn't get off. She will kill me after knowing I didn't drop you off.", he said looking ahead on the road.

Y/n: "How would she even know?", you asked and were about to again get off the car.

Ten: "But I want to drop you off.", he said as you stopped in your tracks not believing your ears. You looked at him shocked.

Y/n: "Huh?", you asked trying to confirm what he said.

Ten: "I said just let me drive you home." (Stream Drive You Home by my bae💕 guys!)

You closed the door and sat straight on the seat again.

Y/n: "O-okay."

The drive to your home was very silent. You didn't even know if that silence screamed awkwardness or comfort. But you didn't try to break it. And even if you try, you can't. Because have you seen a girl talking comfortably to her best friend's brother who was also her long-time crush and boyfriend? Let me clear once again, EX-BOYFRIEND.

Finally, after sometime which felt like hours, you both reached your home. Ten stopped the car infront of your gate as all the memories rushed in his mind. He never wanted to break up with you but he was studying at that time and felt like it was gonna effect his results.

And you being the immature girlfriend, needed his time but he gave it to his studies which is quite right in a way 'cause he was just 1 year away from graduation. He tried to fulfill your needs but you weren't satisfied enough and he finally decided to take a break completely.

It hurt both of you alot but it was the only option left. You were hurt more than you thought and you took alot of time to overcome it. You didn't date anyone since then and it proves you still have a place for him in your heart. He didn't date anyone too as Minnie states but that doesn't makes you hopeful or anything.

He still might be giving all his time to his career or something. You can't just get your hopes up. Well back to the present now.

You got out of the car and went near your gate taking your keys out of your purse when you heard a door getting shut. You turned around to see Ten coming your way. Then he stopped a few steps away.

Ten: "I wanted to talk to you-"

Y/n: "If it's related to us, then you should just leave it as it is.", you said turning around ready to unlock the door. As you were about to enter you house, his next words stopped you.

Ten: "I like you Y/n! Still... I wanted to tell you for a long time now but couldn't find the courage to. Please forgive me Y/n. I tried to move on but it's impossible.", he said as guilt dripped from his every word.

Y/n: "It doesn't matter Ten. I admit I still like you too but I can't forgive you and let you enter my world once again. You broke up with me to complete your studies but you're here now confessing to me not caring about my studies. You know I'm just an year away from getting out of school life but you are just being selfish, again." , you said as you face him completely with a disappointed look on your face.

Ten: "I'm so sorry, I know I'm always wrong but that's also the reason why I want you back, to tell me what's right and wrong. I can't help but be desperate to have you back in my arms. And I can wait Y/n. I can wait as long as it takes for you to forgive me and come back to me.", he said before he started to make his way to his car.

Y/n: "It will take a while. I don't think you can manage to wait that long.", you said halting him on his track.

Ten: "I've been waiting for 3 years already Y/n, I have more patience than you think.", he said getting in his car but not starting it. He looked at you and gave you a smile which showed how much love he felt for you.

You couldn't help but give an almost unnoticeable smile but you knew he saw it. Then you turned on your heels walking into your house not knowing what to feel but it surely wasn't something bad.

Seeing you walking in your space, Ten drove away to his own. As you freshened up and grabbed your mobile, you saw a message of Minnie obviously asking for what happened. You simply replied with a "Just you wait bit*h" and put the phone on your sidetable, drifting off to your dreamland.
