Searching Eden

Take me where roses are crystals
Crystals frozen, below northern lights,
Lights reflecting rainbow petals
Petals melting, into sunrise.

Sunrise warm and golden
Golden grasses on the hillside,
Hillside by the sea, our secret eden
Eden, once upon a time.

Time petrified in amber
Amber, the shades of your eyes,
Eyes lost, the kind I remember
Remember in riddles, riptides.

Riptides inside conch shells
Shells of fragmented memories,
Memories of worlds, never were
Were but those- tall stories.

Stories of old, I hear whispers
Whispers, echoes of our talks,
Talks in empty, untold places
Places now, I only walk.

Walk alone, outpouring thoughts
Thoughts of us- forbidden, still,
Still, forgive me, I cannot
Cannot unsee the ruins on the hill.

Hill out there, us, lying on Eden
Eden dreams overlooking the sea,
Sea of stars, naming one back when
When you first found me.

Me and you, someday, together
Together, even if I had to relive again,
Again, rebuild the ruins of time forever
Forever I'd dream, a dream of oceans.
