Love Rain

Pondering beside the window pane
Tracing the trickling droplets inside,
Listening to the song of the pouring rain
Dripping and dropping outside.

Bathing in arresting beauty, time and again
Breathing in serenity, heart at rest,
Reliving a glimpse of that moment,
That once upon a rainy sunset.

Where in a cab everything began
Softly through its window panes,
Flickering shadows glistened then danced
Against sunset prisms and intermittent rain.

I was held in a trance
It just took my breath away,
Stilling time and everything in motion,
Spending eternity in a day.

But reality came back to life
Then and there, it vanished before my eyes,
When the cab stopped and we had to say goodbye.

Still, perhaps one of these days, who knows when,
I'd see those enchanting shadows in the rain, and you, again.

Still, perhaps one of these days, who knows when,I'd see those enchanting shadows in the rain, and you, again
