Enchanted Days

Breezy, sunset walks
Painted on my shifting eyes,
Shattering blue waves
Reaching for juniper skies.

Barefoot, white sands clung
To my slightly dampened toes,
Wavy auburn locks
Brushed my rosy cheeks, windblown.

Breathlessly smiling
I sat, scribbled with the twigs,
Glancing over my shoulder
I heard random shutter clicks.

Swept off of my feet
Your arms carried me away
To places I've never been
Up until today.

And still, I keep seeing
Our names, that enchanted shore
Engraved in my heart,
On this gold band-

Forever Yours.
Colored photos fade
And someday I might lose sight,
Will you take me there again
And become eyes?
