"You'll think he will like this" I looked at my best friend Sharon. I was getting a watch for my boyfriend. I wanted him to feel appreciated.

"Who Ace? No" she said and I made a face.

"I think he will" I said.

"Girl look how little it is-

"It shouldn't matter, as long as the diamonds are real you not putting money into it" I said.

"Girl you asked me" she mumbled.

"I want this" I smiled at the salesman ignoring her.

He nodded and told me the total.

I paid and we left.

"Alright I'll see you later best" Sharon hugged me before getting out the car.

I drove back to the house me and Ace shared.

"Amir!" I yelled calling him by his middle name.

"I'm in here!" He yelled back.

"Oh, I got you something" I smiled getting in front of him.

"Look, I paid for it fully" I showed him and frowned when he didn't smile.

"That's nice" he said.

"I already have a bunch of watches" he said and I mugged him.

"But you ain't have one like this"

"Nijah chill it's not even that serious" he said.

"Fine" I mumbled grabbing my jacket and putting it on.

"Where you going" he said.

"I'm giving this watch to a nigga that will appreciate it" I said and he sucked his teeth.

"Do you and don't take my car either" he shrugged.
