Warnings: anxiety

Relationship: Zedaph/Grian

~*~

POV: Grian

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

That's all I could hear in the room I was in. The constant ticking was making my anxiety rise.

Tick tock, tick tock, tick...

It stops. I look up, I see nothing and my lights are still off.

I try and stand, but my legs are weak. I feel like I can't move. Stuck in a constant state of limbo.

Darkness.

Floating.

Anxiety.

Nothing to save me from any of this.

I'm alone on the server when I open the tab list, but it all glitches out.

Unable to access my inventory.

Unable to see my health.

My hunger.

My room.

I tried standing again.

I only fell.

My body felt like a rock.

Then I heard the ticking again.

Slow.

Loud.

Nonrhythmic.

Tick

Tick

Tick

Tick

Tick

Tick

It glitches on ever other tick, going back to the previous number.

Time has no end.

It has no beginning.

It just exists.

When I suddenly felt floaty more than before, I tried looking for a light.

I tried looking for SOMETHING.

But I was still alone.

Eternal darkness.

I could still hear the ticking. But it was fading.

"He's waking up!"

"Shit, really?"

"Grian!"

"Dude, hello?"

None of these voices were the hermits.

I don't think anyways.

It hurt to think.

It hurt to breathe.

So I just listened.

"Grian, Grian, wake up! C'mon, show some form of life that isn't just BREATHING."

The person's plea was so loud it hurt.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Not a clock, but a machine.

I felt strong enough to open my eyes again and I saw many people with tear stained faces.

"Grian oh thank good you're okay!"

"You had us so worried."

"What happened to you?"

It was too overwhelming.

I didn't answer, I looked away.

"His pupils are dilated. I need fluids, now, Doc."

"On it, Scar."

A sudden tightness around my neck sent me gasping for air and my thoughts cleared up enough to speak.

"Z-Zed?" I stuttered, the person only released and put his hand on my face.

"Yeah, it's me. You're gonna be okay. You'll be okay."

"Zed, let us do our job."

"But-"

"Go! You can see him when we're done."
