Overwhelming Hours

Once we got into the building, and then the filming room, I was completely shocked to see how many people were in the room. Not only their friends who were in front of the camera just hanging out, but the film crew behind them. It all seemed pretty overwhelming honestly. So overwhelming, in fact, that I didn't realize that Ian was still holding my hand. Feeling my palms get way too sweaty for any human being to be comfortable with, I shyly took my hand back and nervously wiped it on my jeans like an insane person.

Ian didn't react to it all though, but I did watch him wipe his hand on his jeans too. Jesus why do my palms get so sweaty that's so embarrassing. I tried to sink in embarrassment and focus more on my new surroundings.

"Hey everyone!" Anthony said in an almost fake excited tone.

"Wow, hey! We were actually placing our bets on wether or not you guys were actually coming" A man with orange hair laughs.

"Oh, and you returned with another girl. Ian, is this one medically sane?" The guy with the orange hair jokes. He's managed to say two sentences and he's already one of the most aggravating people I've ever met. I could feel the tension in the room quickly rise. Until, the short brown haired guy -oh wait- Matt, had very quickly cut in.

"Hey David cut it out man, just be happy that they're here and move on. Maybe just stick to the stupid insults instead of actually hurtful ones"

This man just went way up on my list. That's super awesome he was sticking up for Ian and Anthony like that and, I guess, me too.

Not to mention, pretty dang cute. He was one of those nerdy cute guys. Not exactly hot, but the type that would bring you roses on a bad day and want to spend his Saturday nights snuggling and watching a romcom.

Or, I look way too into people.

I think it's definitely the latter option.

Meanwhile, I could see Ian close his eyes for a bit, probably trying to calm down. Anthony, however, was not trying to pent up his aggression at all.

"Hey David, how's Kayla?" Anthony spoke in such a dark and hurtful tone.

The guy with the orange hair, David, quickly looked down and shut up. Who's Kayla?

A couple of the people lightly held in laughter, but most just cringed and visibly looked very uncomfortable. No wonder they haven't come back in a while, I've been here two minutes and it's already been such a rollercoaster.

A man from behind the camera now appeared.

"Alright it's time we get things going. Anthony, Ian, it's always a pleasure." He shakes their hands, "I hope you've been well. And who's this?"

"Oh this is Emily" Anthony says in an almost completely non threatening tone which is nice, the tensions are calming down.

"And Emily, this is David, well uh, a different David."

"Or you can just refer to me as to cooler David" The camera man winked and laughed playfully. He seemed really nice and friendly.

"Well Emily, do we need to get you in hair and makeup really quick or will you just be hanging out for today?"

"Oh I'll just be hanging out." I responded rather quickly, I didn't really want to sit anywhere near David. And, quite frankly, the idea of being on camera frightens me quite a bit knowing how many people might be watching.

To be quite honest, there were so many people in the room that I was getting quite overwhelmed. I was able to utter a semi quiet, "nice to meet you all" before heading behind the camera where cool David directed me to a directors chair that had the word "Guest" embroidered on it. So fancy.
