After a mind numbing 12 hour long flight, I eventually landed in Sacramento. Where I had taken a couple buses and walks that seemed more like hikes to his address, please let this work out. It's freezing and pouring rain right now. I thought California was always sunny and warm? Must've got here at a weird time.
As I finish my last trek from the last bus I take to his street, I am shivering due to both fear and the weather. I take a deep breathe as I was to the door step and knock.
~Anthony's P.O.V.~
In the middle of just watching some random YouTube videos, I hear 3 soft knocks on the door. I reluctantly got up and trudged over to the door to go see who it was and what they wanted.
Looking through the peep hole first to see if I knew them, I saw a girl with sky blue hair with streaks of a vibrant purple in it. The way that she's dressed reminds me of a tourist that was told how California never rains or snows, even in winter. I can also tell that she's shivering, a lot.
I stood looking through the peep hole for a minute trying to decipher what she may want and why she's knocking on my door until I see her knock on the door once more. I finally decided to open up the door to see what was up.
"Is this the residency of Anthony Marks?" She shyly questioned in a soft and nervous tone.
"Live and in the flesh" I answered trying not to sound suspicious. I wasn't sure what she was doing at my house, but I really did want to know how she knew my name.
"Were you adopted?"
He's taken back for a moment.
"Yeah. And you are???"
"Well. Uhhh. Can I come in?"
"Uh." I trailed off. This girl who I know nothing about who seems to know me, just asked me if she could enter my house. What the hell why not, this'll be a fun story for Ian.
"Sure, but can I ask what you're doing here?"
"Well, I have reason to believe that I may be your sister."
I froze. I have a sister? I don't ever remember the agency or my parents tell me about this. I was so young and I barely remember any of it so maybe I did but me, Anthony, has a sister?
My train of thought was interrupted when I hear her start to shiver more intently than she was before. I can't just leave her out on my front doorstep.
"Yeah you can come in." I lead her inside and gestured her to a wooden chair since I didn't want my couch to get wet. I grab the warmest blanket I can find and give it to her.
I then sit across from her on my beige couch to try and figure how this conversation will go.
~Emily's P.O.V.~
After Anthony-my alleged brother-sat me down and gave me a blanket, I tried to think of how to start.
"So, why would you think that we're siblings?" He had curiously and slowly asked.
"Well, it all started when~"
