"I'm really surprised you came here much faster than I thought. Aren't you dating Gojo Satoru? Aren't love birds supposed to not live without the other? How many weeks has it been again?" Tsukumo Yuki bombarded me with her questions as soon as she went down her motorcycle.
Swinging myself off the tree, I landed on the ground silently, brushing the dried leaves from my shoulder before walking towards her.
Her cursed spirit flew beside me and slightly wrapped itself around my shoulders. It was her tamed curse, an aid of some sort.
I smiled at it before running my hands to its skin. It then returned to Yuki afterward.
"You're saying that now? I'm here for about two months already. Check your calendar properly." I replied.
Time passed by in just a blink of an eye and to be honest, I didn't notice it that much because of my 'business'. The solution I'm working on, after all, had already made its progress courtesy of Sukuna subduing the damned curse he gave me.
I kept experimenting with different ways to apply my cursed energy and reform my techniques. I think I'm almost half-way to it. All the curses she gathered on the island ranging from grade 3 to grade 1 and some transfigured corpses we smuggled, they became my test subjects.
I was able to remove their curses completely. The only problem was that they died afterward...they disappeared without any traces. The rest died out.
"By the way, Abe, I got a mail from Yaga Masamichi instead since you haven't opened your phone for a while..." Yuki said as she swung her leather jacket behind her.
Oh...I should better check my emails now. I haven't turned on my phone for months.
Although, I'm not expecting anyone to message me anyway since I'm on a leave --- except if my beloved students somehow missed me, of course.
"What about it?" I asked.
I pulled out my phone from my bag and held the on the switch, bringing it back to life. I then let my hair down to let the breeze cool my sweat down.
I was working out before Tsukumo arrived to keep myself in shape. Sometimes I also ask her to spar with me to improve my strength.
Basically, I'm proud that I didn't laze around during my stay.
"The one who poisoned you was a student. And well, that's probably the mole you were talking about." Yuki replied with an intrigued smile.
A student, huh? It's definitely from Kyoto.
"Uh-huh..." I hummed nonchalantly.
"I'm glad they found out. Good for them."
"Heeeehh, how boring! I thought you'll be more surprised, Sayuri. Get angry for once, you know?"
I let out a chuckle.
Getting angry because someone decided to poison me? No...it's my fault anyway for not seeing it in advance. Anyway, I didn't die from it so, I'm not holding any grudge.
"Whoever did it must have some good reason. And because I'm a good person, I won't curse them for it." I smiled innocently.
Yuki paled and decided to forget that she heard it from me. She ignored me, more so. "Anyway, since you're done trashing my island, can we go back now? I missed the asphalt, goddamnit!" She then complained.
"Yeah, sure."
When my phone finally lit up and showed the screen, I scrolled through my inbox which loaded a good amount of messages.
