A girl with no background nor identity finds herself in Jujutsu Tech after an encounter with a sorcerer who was initially tasked to exorcise her.
Stuck with a powerful curse and the unknown, becoming a Jujutsu Sorcerer is the only way to figure out...
Author's Note:Not a chapter but please do read. See character update at the bottom, if you'd like.
Just a quick summary so you won't get confused.
I'll be writing the explanations here so that I won't have to add them anymore to the chapters...so that we can focus on the story later on rather than explaining hehe.
--------------------------------------------
1. It is revealed that the Abe Clan's techniques mostly relate to the usage of positive energy (they're more adept at healing and undoing curses).
The inherited technique from Seimei, however, is very rare; that's the positive energy manipulation which Sayuri has. It's the reason why she can nullify techniques, including cursed energy itself, mainly because she can use positive energy to counter curses (which are negative).
She doesn't know this though and just thinks that it's a cursed technique.
2. One thing to remember about the Abe (including Sayuri) is that positive and negative energy (curses) are "passive" to them. They do not exactly produce them, instead, they use what's already present around them --- it's the reason why they are believed to have a vast amount of cursed energy. As long as curses exist, their powers also does.
Think of it as bending elements in Avatar.
Negative energy (curses) is fire. In firebending, as long as there's fire and you can produce flames from inside you, you can bend it...they can use it.
Meanwhile, Positive energy is air. Think of it as airbending, and since air is basically everywhere, you can bend anytime. And although positive energy exists prominently compared to negative, it's the hardest one to manipulate.
However, just like Aang, the last airbender is Sayuri. The Abe from before were air nomads but aren't completely airbenders. They don't have the ability to completely manipulate positive. Instead, they use negative curses and convert them into positive for their uses (they're good at converting curses).
Haha! I find this reference really funny.
3. In Sayuri's case, she can produce negative cursed energy because of Sukuna. That's also why it was possible for her to turn into half-curse despite being an Abe and still retain her powers, all because of him. She's a complicated case and an exception, but her powers remain as it is. Only that the restriction in their bloodline isn't completely viable for her because of her affiliation with Sukuna --- loosening her restriction actually makes her stronger though. But then again, because of Sukuna, it's not good news.
4. Manipulation of Positive energy is difficult for normal sorcerers, just like how Reverse Cursed Techniques are hard to do. And as for Sukuna, he cannot "acquire" this ability because he's a curse himself (he'll die from it). So this is where Sayuri comes in.
Positive energy is versatile and has a wide potential compared to negative curses. And since Sayuri is able to manipulate that, he needed her.
5. Also, the reason why Sayuri wasn't able to access this potential before was that she and Sukuna made a vow.
Binding a human and a curse together enabled Sukuna to loosen her family's restriction and "limit" her powers in his own terms, he needed this just in case she betrays him (that's from 1000 years ago).
6. Anyway, Sukuna killed her now to liberate that conflict of his soul to her human body, the "limit" she had from him so that the soul is what's left of her now.
The pure form of a soul should enable her to gain access to her inherited technique again despite becoming a half-curse (dead). Sukuna had his own plans now that's why he allowed it...also because he's still inside a vessel, Sayuri cannot completely exorcise him.
7. If you're thinking about how it became possible for her to become a curse despite wielding positive energy: it's because of Sukuna.
8. In any case, Sukuna already hypothesized, after Sayuri was born again, that it's now possible for her to turn into a curse and still have her powers unchanged.
He just wasn't able to have her manipulate positive energy back then to save them from their deaths because Sayuri in her past life was weaker...she's not as good as she is in the present.
Sayuri only bloomed as a strong sorcerer now because of Gojo Satoru's teachings. The peak of her sorcery is in this era, and this is what Sukuna has been waiting for.
9. Sayuri's inherited technique is Positive Energy Manipulation and she inherited it directly from Abe no Seimei.
Have she used it before?
No.
However, from time to time, she draws it unconsciously and her nullification is an example of that. It explains why she is able to dispel techniques and even cursed energy (as the positive energy negates it). But it isn't its complete form, it's only a small part of the technique.
Although usually when she heals herself, what she's been using is Reverse Cursed Techniques, not positive energy. She still can't heal others though.
Does she know she has it?
Not yet...
No one was able to explain it since her family died when she's a baby, and the Abe is very secretive, so much that it's not even in their archives. They only wrote it as a normal cursed technique that's why Sayuri also thought of it like that.
Sukuna, however, knows quite a lot of what they are because he used to live under the Abe and was taught by them. But he never explained anything to Sayuri that's why she still knows nothing.
But then again, she doesn't know it yet.
Just yet...
Thank you for reading this far! I hope I gave you some insights into this story to avoid confusion and complications.
Anyway, Sukuna and Sayuri's relationship are indeed complicated. Let's just keep in mind that they both benefit and give each other disadvantages at the same time.
Thank you so much for your patience! And as a bonus, here's what Sayuri looks like (what you'll look like) from this point on.

(I tried my best to make her smile but it ended up like a smirk. Also, I'm very sorry about the hand. I do suck at it!)
P.S. Nothing changed much, except that she became a bit more paler, her eyes got lighter and have subtle cat-like pupils, and her hair got darker and longer (up to her waist).
Her hair grew btw after turning into a curse, haha! And in case if you're wondering where her bangs went, it also grew. Her hairstyle changed a bit because her hair grew.
Also, two markings (bands) just like Sukuna's are now on her hand, but only on her left hand.
Anything else?
Ah! I do forget to mention that Sayuri's uniform's typically just a tank top and a coat (made with the same materials worn by sorcerers: durable and resistant to doom), fitted pants (she usually prefers light gray), and black boots.
She wears light clothing because she hates the heat and hot weather, and likes to stay cool. So yeah, we ain't exposing our skin for sexual purposes. We love stayin' cool.
