The carriage had begun moving, shaking slightly as they begun moving along the main road.

The ride became more smoother with the newly paved roads, another idea of Adonis. Adonis looked outside the window.

Their manor and the rest of the fief were separated by a river, so they needed to cross a bridge first if they were to go into town.

The land where their manor was placed was mostly covered by trees, hills and small cliffs.

Their fief is known for agriculture, and also their sugarcane farms, something that greatly contributed to their wealth.

Sugarcanes were needed to make sugar, a fine spice that was considered luxury in the medieval times.

So far, they were the biggest supplier of sugarcanes throughout several kingdoms, due to the fact that sugarcanes needed much sunlight, and needs to be planted in a humid place, since sugarcanes cannot withstand freezing, or even cool temperature.

The streets were bustling as people went on with their daily lives.

They soon traveled along the market place, various shops and stalls lined up as vendors shouted, advertising their products as people passed by.

'Quite lively.' He thought.

"Dear? Is something bothering you?" Celia asked, noticing how her son had been staring outside the window the entire time.

"Ah, it's nothing. Just admiring the view."

Celia sighed. "If you say so."

There were times where she couldn't read what was on her son's mind, that it made her worry at times.

And he was too mature despite being only three years old! And here she was hoping she could spoil him in the least.

'Ah, why do they keep growing up so fast! I fear that they might leave us just as fast too.' Celia thought, a small frown forming on her face.

He and Lolanthe first got out of the carriage, hoping down on the paved streets. Celia and Alastair got off last, hand in hand before having a short conversation with the coachman which he did not hear.

"Wah, there's so many things they're selling here!" Lolanthe said, looking around as her eyes twinkled.

She grabbed his hand and began dragging him along with her to various stalls, but kept in mind not to stay far from their parents.

Alastair gave a small sigh, while Celia simply chuckled.

As they began wandering, a person accidentally bumped into him, making him stumble and let out a small 'oof.'

"Ah, I'm sorry!" The person said.

Adonis rubbed his slightly reddening nose, and looked at the person who he had bumped into.

'Ah?'

The person was a child around Lolanthe's age, five years old.

The boy had brown hair and brown eyes, and wore clothes which were definitely not a commoner's, but not a noble either.

He guessed that the boy might be a merchant's son.

'But, why is it that I feel that he isn't exactly what he seems he is?'

"Ah, don't worry." Lolanthe replied.

The boy hurried off but not before giving a slight bow, and she quickly turned to him and started checking everywhere to see if he was injured.

"Adonis, are you alright!? Does something hurt?! Do we need to call a physician!?"

"I'm fine. My nose just hurts slightly, other than that, everything's fine."

"Hal, who were they?" The 'merchant's son' asked.

"He is Adonis Velandro, the heir of Velandro. Currently three years old. The girl is Lolanthe Velandro, who's around your age, your highness."

"Ah, no wonder they looked quite familiar."

If it weren't for the fact that Adonis was wearing male clothing, he might as well have mistaken him as a girl.

'How cute.' He mused. 'Adonis, was it? Let's meet again.'
