Buzzfeed Interview

"Hi guys I'm Becky C and this is the Buzzfeed Autocomplete Interview," I say smiling at the camera. I'm handed a card with questions. "Ok, let's see what we have here," 

" What is Becky C's real name? Well my real name is Becky C guys," I giggle. "I'm kidding guys my real name is Rebecca Castillo. "How old is Becky C?"

"Well I'm turning 21 in a few months." I say winking at the camera. "What nationality is Becky C?"

"Wow you guys really like knowing about this stuff?" I say moving my hair. " I'm Argentine-American, born in America but Argentine because both my parents and sister were born in Buenos Aires."

"Does Becky C have a sister?"

"Yea like I said just now, I have the best older sister ever, Violetta. I love you Vilu, if you ever watch this."

"How many songs does Becky C have?"

"Uhhhhh should be like 32 or something," I say pursing my lips.

"Is Becky C bilingual?"

"Si por supuesto mi amor. Hablo español desde los 3 años. Quería aprender francés pero nunca llegué a eso. I hope Buzzfeed can translate that." I laugh. Somebody comes and sits next to me.

"I hope you enjoyed that, I'm Leigh-Anne,"

"Nice to meet you Leigh-Anne, I'm Rebecca but you can call me Becky." I say as we shake hands.

"So everyone is super excited to see you on screen again, how does it feel?"

"Honestly I'm really nervous and excited because I've never done anything with Netflix and I've never done a series so I can't wait,"

"Have you worked with Kenny Ortega before?"

"No, but Kenny and I have met a few times."

"Are you in a relationship?" I laugh really hard.

"Oh no, no I'm single and happy you know, if he happens to come my way sure we'll see how it goes but for now it's just me."

"Tell us about your character Sara,"

" So Sara Molina is Julie's 17 year old sister and the death of their mom is really taking a toll on them you know. So she's like the new mother figure and she takes care of everyone and you can tell by the way she dresses that she's not really confident or happy but when she and Julie meet the boys her style as well as Julie's comes bolder and more colourful,"

"Does Sara have a love interest?"

"Yea Shawn is supposedly her ex boyfriend and they haven't seen each other since Sara's mom's death and he suddenly comes back and get back together, hopefully..."

"And the rest of the cast? Have you met them?"

"No and Kenny wants it to be a surprised so I'm really excited."

"We hear you're planning on a concert in Vancouver?"

"Yes y'all the proceeds go to a really good cause. The proceeds go towards building homes for those who don't have anywhere to go as well as clean water sources for Namibia and Zimbabwe," I say with my hands on my heart."

"I also read somewhere you also bought a two point five million dollar home in Zimbabwe and donated it to the Harare Children's Home."

"That's not quite accurate, yes I bought a home there but I had specially asked for  this to be done in private but I guess nothing remains private for long when you're famous," I chuckle nervously. "Anyway I bought the home and converted it into Maria's Sanctuary, a place where orphans and abused women can come and seek refuge and get their lives back together,"

"You named it after yourself?"

"No, after my mom actually," I say fidgeting with my rings.
