The Boy no one really knew

Jace's Day Back At The Company

I woke up and got in the shower Midnight sat in front of it "This is the day I put out music Midnight" I say and he wags his tail. I get all washed up and turn off the water I grab my towel and wrap it around my waist. I walk out to my room and smile "Today is going to be my day" I say and dry off and put my suite on. I put dog food in Midnight's bowl "There you go boy" I say and grab one of my guitar's "I'll be back latter be a good boy" I say and walk out the door locking it behind me. I unlock my car and put my guitar in the back and get in I sigh a little "It's going to be just fine" I say then I slowly pull away and head to the company. I stop at the stop light and look out the window I see the man who claims to be my father the turns green and I drive off.  "I'm not shocked they let him out" I say and pull up and park at the company the boss walks up "Jace it's good to have you back" the boss says and I smile. "Today is the day I put out music" I say and we walk in Shy runs over to us "Jace I mean Mr. King welcome back are you ready" she say and I nod.

Me and Sky walk to my recording room my guitar hanging from my side "So do you know what song you want to put out today" Shy asked and I smile "Do you remember" I say and her eyes lit up the song you sang at the coffee shop when I found you" Shy says and I chuckle. I walk in to the recording booth and put the head phones on and gave Sky a thumbs up. She his the button and I strum the tune on my guitar I take a breath and start (Not professional lyrics).  "When you left it felt like everything has changed, now I am here to play life's foolish game, all I can think about is the pain that wont go away, I wish you could have stayed, but sadly it's too late I wish I could say one day I'll be okay, but why did you have leave my this way" I take a breath and continues. "You left me here to face my fear but sadly my fear is you're not here, oh why must I stay here, I can't hold on much longer because my fear, I wish you could see I'm not that strong, oh mother why did you have to go, you left me here to be on my own" My voice started to break a bit but I kept going. "I can't see the light you say shines within me, all that I can see are the clouds filled with envy and hatred, slowly drowning me in my feelings, won't nobody come and save me from my misery, before I fall into a tragedy" tears fall from my face cause in every lyric I feel my pain. "Oh mother will I be able to make it through the night and will I be able to win this fight, I will stand till my time comes is done so I can see you again as mother and son" I come to the end and Sky stops recording.

I walk out of the booth and Sky walks up to me and wipes me tears "Mr. King are you okay" Sky asked I nod. I sit down and have Sky play it back I listen as I sit there listening to it I feel tears falling down my face so I have Sky stop it. "I like this it's untouched I want to keep it this way Sky" I say and Sky smiles. "Then we won't change it" Sky says we both smile we hear a knock on the door to the room. "C-Come in" I say and the door opens my jaw drops and I told Sky to get out cause the person who was at the door was me claimed to be father. Sky ran out and so it was just me and him "So you work here my boy" he says and I quickly pressed the alert button. "First off I am not your boy second how did you get in here without being seen" I say and he laughs "It was easy no one was paying attention" he says and that's when I saw my boss and officers standing outside. "Jace, kid are you alright" the boss called out to me "Yeah I'm fine" I say but those words became lies. The man who claimed to be my father grabbed me and held me as a shield I couldn't breath cause he had an arm around my throat. My boss stood there along with the officers "Just let the boy go sir" my boss say and he quickly lets go of me and runs but the officers tackle him down fast. 

I stood there in fear "W-were is Sky" I asked my boss only to see Sky standing behind him I let out a sigh of relief. "you're not hurt are you Jace" Sky says I shake my head "I'm just fine just got a little scared that's all" I say and she walks over and hugs me. "Jace if you haven't realized yet everyone who works here at my company is family" the boss says and I nod. "I see" I say and Sky backs up to give me space to breath "I think I'll call it a day boss" I say and he walks me out to my car.  "Jace I promise this won't happen again" my boss says and I just smile and get in my car. I head back home because I needed away from all that I was shaking still. When I pull up to my house I see Archer sitting on my door step waiting for me. I got out of my car and locked the doors I walk over to Archer "Hey, baby what are you doing" I say Archer jumps up and hugs me. I hug her back "What is it love" I say and she smiles cutely at me "Your song is out now" Archer says and I smile "That's cool" I say and we go inside. She puts my song on and we sit there and listen to it together "You sound amazing Baby" Archer says and I smile slightly "Thank you love" I say.
