it had been the next day and i was just wondering around. schlatt had everyone tear down the walls. i was gonna help but schlatt said he didnt want me doing dirty work, i kept getting looks from two people who i found out their names are eret and nihachu they we're both way older than me. i hadnt had my armour on cause everyone either was building or doing their own things. no arguing or fighting. i decide i wanted to build a house for me and schlatt, we've just been in the white house all the time and it would be nice to have another place to go. dad was busy and i didnt want to interupt him so i decided to speak with the girl who stood talking to eret, nihachu. as  i walked up to them i got nervous "h-hello, nihachu and eret was it?" i greeted 

they both turned to me "yes, but you can just call me nikki" nikki says with a small smile "nikki.... alright! i wanted to ask a question if you arent too busy"  rub the back of my neck and look to the left of me "oh sure, what do you need?" she asks "i wanted to know if i was able to build things, of course nothing that would get in the way that would be selfish, but i dont want the build to be too far away cause going back and forth would be a hassle and all-" i fidgeded with my fingers as i started ranting "dont worry youre welcome to build on any empty spaces" eret says "ah, thanks" i say and smile nervously. as i was about to walk off "i dint catch your name" eret points out "oh! where are my manners" i mutter as i turn back to them "my names y/n"

"y/n, thats a very nice name. do you have any nicknames?" eret asks another question "not really, schlatt just calls me kid all the time" i say and try to think back on if i had any "id like to know more about you y/n, wanna chat?" eret asks i look to my left "u-uh sure, why not" eret looks at nikki "excuse us" he says and starts walking along a path and to which i follow "so y/n, how do you know jschlatt?" he asked "uh well, he kinda adopted me. well not legally but hes my only father figure so i like to say hes my dad." i replied. even though i never called schlatt dad out loud i still thought of him as of a father. a really good one at that, even though he had his bad days i didnt mind cause where would i be now without him

"oh, so thats why he gives you special treatment" eret chuckled a bit and i looked up at him. he was wayy taller than me "how old are you y/n?" he asks "18 im turning 19 on the 18th" as we walked on the path i admired all the builds. everything was unique and i kinda liked it 
"hey eret" i try to get his attention "yes y/n?" i could see him glance at me through the side of my eye "what was l'manburg like, yknow before i came" i asked. everyone seemed unhappy now that those two guys are gone "well, wilbur soot founded l'manburg with tommy innit. and soon started recruiting others that included fundy tubbo and me, wilbur wanted l'manburg to be an independent nation. weve had harsh war with the dream smp. they've dealt with traitors, explosions and threats." eret listed off "one day tommy had traded his discs, his most prized possessions , for the independence of l'manburg." wow, eret seems to care about this place a lot. especially tommy and wilbur, giving something up that you care dearly about for independence? meh i guess ill never know how they feel

"after all that weve gotten new citizens, jack manifold, nihachu, and quackity. and now you and schlatt" eret finished i hum "its not fair that schlatt is taking the walls down, it apart of history an he just brushes it off like its nothing" eret huffed "meh, its hard to care for something you don't know. we weren't their for the struggle and im sorry schlatt doesn't care but whatever he says go's" i reply bluntly and glare in front of me. once i realized my tone i turned to eret quickly and apologies "s-sorry if i came off harsh. i really don't mean to be" after that i hear eret chuckle "your fine, so what did you want to build? i can help if you'd like" eret asked. it would be nice to have some help and maybe we can get it done by tonight "i wanted to make a house for schlatt and i. and yea i could use some help" i felt comfortable around eret he seemed really nice, kind of like a big brother.

(timeskip) 

"woooo" i cheer as i throw my hands up. me and eret had finally finished and sun was setting "it looks marvelous, very cozy" eret complimented as we sighed and sat on the porch stairs of the spruce cottage almost exactly like the one we used to live in. i sighed and wiped the sweat off my forehead "hey kid! ive been looking all over for you" i hear a familiar voice and i stand up "schlatt! i was building this cottage for us-" i looked over to eret "eret helped me a bunch, so its all finished" i finish and look at schlatt for him to respond. the horned man stares at the cottage and glances at eret. finally he smiles "it looks great kid, you did well" he says and ruffles my hair i didnt see but schlatt had nodded at eret as a sign of approval "and uh, thanks for taking care of this kid over here" 

eret nods and starts to walk off "ill see you tommorow eret! goodnight" eret glances back and waves "see you y/n goodnight as well" as he walks away i run up the spruce steps an open the door for schlatt. as he steps in i close the door behind us "its basically a replica of our old place, just more rooms and a bit bigger" i spoke as schlatt looked around "wow, what are you homesick kid?" schlatt chuckles "meh, i mainly built it cause all weve been going is in the white house and walking down the paths. so this would be a place to relax" i say and sit in the main area and so does schlatt "im glad to see youre making friends, maybe i shouldve brang you around people when you where younger" schlatt says in a sorry tone "meh, i think i turned out alright. i mean at least im not all emotionally fragile yknow" i joke to lighten the mood and schlatt smiles an nods "anyways, im gonna head to bed now ive been building all day, goodnight!" i say and run up the stairs to my room on the left. i had a f/c bed, i didnt have any wool so eret gave it to me and it was very comfortable. once i flop on the bed i was almost instantly knocked out into a dreamless slumber
