(recap: after being exiled with tommy y/n has a lot of time one his hands, spending most of it whith dream, but also wanting to learn more about where he came from and the past of schlatt, and so he plans to sneak back into lmanburg when dream is gone also ima just skip the party because i can)

quickly jumping out of the portal after drinking a potion of invisibility i make my way to lmanburg. avoiding everyone and everything. i didnt have my armour, but i still carried my sword and pickaxe. who knows what could happen, i wanted at least to have something to defend myself with. although i was invisible, there was bubbles around me, very faint, but still noticeable if you paid attention. not only that but my shoes tapped the wood, i didnt worry too much though, everyone would be asleep, or should be asleep.

manburg was in sight, and i began to pick up my pace, until i saw a familiar 'face'. dream was there. walking twords where i was 'fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck' i quickly stepped in the grass, there he wouldnt be able to hear my footsteps as loud. as we got closer, he seemed to slow down and look to where i was. i hopped there was just something in back of me. i held my breath and took a step back. only for him to tackle me "who are you!?" 

i grunted as i hit the ground, and tried not to make anymore noise, i didnt want him to recognize me. lmanburg was the last place i wanted to be. i put all my strength into puching him off of me, once he was off i quickly got up to my feet and began to sprint. my whole body felt tingly, 'shit,  its gonna wear off'. i ran into the nearest house and quickly slamming the door not paying attention to whose it was. "hello? whos there?" 

i heard a very familiar voice, turning i see my good friend. he looked worried and confused as he stared at the door. before i could answer i hear knocking on the door i just closed. i quickly got out of the way. as ranboo opened the door i looked to the ladder, i could get out through upstairs. "ah, hello dream, what uh, what brings you here?" ranboo asked confused. 

i didnt stay for long, i jumped off the second floors balcony, my ankles stung a bit it i was fiNe. i knew phil lived next to ranboo, so i just quietly opened the door and slipped inside.  as i did mt invis ran out. 'close one' i thought to myself. stepping away from the door i see philza rummaging through some chests and muttering to himself "hello?" i say trying to get his attention. he quickly turns and looks to me

"y/n! what are you doing here?" phil said in a welcoming but concerned tone. i glanced at the door "i just.... wanted to talk- or well- ask you some things" y/n rubbed his neck with his arm, like he always did when he was nervous. phil nodded "alright, lets have a seat and talk" philza sat down in one of his chars to the side of his room. i took the seat next to him. "so, whats on your mind?"

i was quiet for a few seconds "uh, m-my dad, wrote me a letter before he passed..." philzas expression turned into a sad one as he nodded "he told me where i came from, that im not- well that im not fully human... and just at the end he told be to come to you if i had any questions.." philza reached over and placed a hand on my shoulder "i know its a lot to take in, especially since hes... yknow" philza trailed off "and well, yea, me and schlatt you do go adventure a lot, one day we where exploring the nether and found you just after we found techno" 

"who's techno?" i asked "uh... well, we also found him in the nether, people call him 'the blood god' or 'the blade'" he explained i only hummed in response. "anyways, schlatt was actually the one that found you, you where kinda just wandering around a soul sand valley, hiding from skeletons.... one was close to shooting you but schlatt was able to kill it before it could hurt you. after that you where stuck to him, you refused to leave him alone. ahh it was so cute, you where like a little puppy following him" phil laughed while i just smiled imagining all this in my head

"im pretty sure techno remembers you actually, after we left the nether both me and schlatt took a break from exploring to take care of you guys. you and techno used to play fight, obviously you'd always lose he was bigger anyways" phil chuckled once more. y/n's facial expression changed to a sad one. phil noticed this, so he did what he thought was best getting up and giving y/n a hug "i miss him too bud" phil patted the younger males back 

the two sat in phils house talking for hours, y/n felt as if a weight was lifted off of his shoulders. y/n finally noticed it getting bright outside "i should probably head back, im not supposed to be here anyways-" y/n muttered the last part to himself. sanding up and grabbing a potion of invisibility from his inventory he said goodbye to phil and then began to run back to  the exhile island

(timeskip+pov change 3rd person) 

y/n finally arrived, but, the place was a mess.  the nether portal was broken, there was holes everywhere.... y/n lastly noticed the tower sitting beside logsted. his eyes widened as he saw a slouched figure standing on top. he immediatly recognized him as tommy, what happened while he was gone? y/n ran closer to the tower  "tommy! what the hell are you doing?!" y/n yelled trying to catch the teens attention 

but tommy didnt seem to react to y/ns voice, or maybe he just didnt hear him. y/n cursed to himself and started to look around for anything he could use to help. noticing the sea right next to him he started scooping the water with a bucket so if tommy decided to jump his fall would be broken by the water. the last thing y/n wanted was someone else close to him dying. 

y/n turned away from the tower to see if there was anything else that could help him, everything was destroyed so not much was there. behind him, he heard a splash of water. he turned once more to the ocean where the noise came from. nothing was there aside for waves. he stared at it a bit longer until he saw blonde hair and pale skin surface the water slowly

"tommy!" y/n yelled and pushed through the water to get to him. tommy was unconscious when y/n pulled him out. "shit shit shit" y/n laid tommy down on the sand. he didn't know cpr or anything. he did remember one time schlatt was playing with him and y/n pretended to drown. schlatt had pushed on his chest while singing a song.  maybe that would help

y/n then began to aggressively push on tommys chest and hummed the tune. after about doing it 3 times he got frustrated. standing up abruptly he yelled "what the fuck do i do!?" he gripped his head trying to think of anything he could do yo save him.

suddenly he froze at the sound of coughing, turning back he sees tommy struggling to sit up. "tommy! holy shit i fucking thought you died!" y/n kneeled down and patted hus back "that bastard!" tommy growled. y/n was only confused

"he lied, hes not my friend, he just wanted to hurt me! he- he manipulated me!" tommy  sat up and started walking "what?" y/n asked "dream! dream y/n! hes not anyone's friend! hes evil" tommy pulled y/n along with him "I don't think dreams that bad.." y/n thought to himself. of course he thought that. dream was someone close to y/n, so naturally he looked at the good in him.

"dream said technoblades house is somewhere this way" tommy speaks once more and they start making their way to his base. occasionally stopping to eat or warm up, since they had to go to through the tundra. y/n was excited to meet technoblade properly after talking with phil
