we're lying on the bed and we keep sneaking glances at eachother even though we both know the other one is looking too. we curl into eachother with a nervousness behind each fibre of subtle excitement. i felt drunk off the way butterflies bounced off the walls of my stomach, the way my heart seems to cling to you and the way my body heats up whenever we are close. you know this, because you know everything about me. and you seem to know whatever i feel. and you fuel my rapid heartbeat as you run your white nails through my hair. i close my eyes and push my head further into your chest, as i take solace in your familiar scent.
