each night was lonely and each morning was bitter. there was no reason for me to want to get out of bed as there was nothing to look forward to. but now it's different. as i open my eyes each day to see you. your body beautifully imprinted in my sheets, as i watch you dream. the morning sun shining on your skin, your hair, your eyelashes, your nose, your lips. never have i seen anything more perfect. i wanted to stay in bed for no other reason but to be with you. because nobody knows what it's like to wake up next to you. but i do.

i skim the soft tips of my fingers along and up your body warily, attempting to not interrupt you from your peaceful dreaming. as i do this, i ponder upon the fact of how i've fallen so deeply for you it hurts. my heart clutches on itself and my head pounds thoughts of you off the walls, and my body reaches for yours. we fell into each others arms and now wake up intertwined in each others embrace after making love all night. and i know you love me. my heart bursts at the sound of it, but i'll shatter my heart willingly while loving you. i'll hold you like this for eternity so i don't crumble when you are not around to whisper those three words onto my lips over and over like you do every day until it's all i know. i tuck a stray strand of blonde hair behind your ear then kiss just below and watch you gently stir awake, grinning lazily at me. i'm not too certain on anything but i do believe that i'm in love with the universe and everything about it. i'm in love with the birds chirping outside the window at the early hours of each morning i get to wake up next to you, i'm in love with the snowflakes that fall around us as we look up in awe at the sky that is blanketed white every winter, i'm in love with the laugh and giggles of humans, i'm in love with the constellations and staring at the stars for hours with you. i'm in love with how everything was created perfectly, how your face was sculptured perfectly and how it feels like my hand is the missing puzzle piece to yours.

but most importantly i am in love with being alive because i think i'm in love with you more than i am with the universe.
