LEGEND HAS IT THAT IN A SOUTHERN FRENCH TOWN WAS A FEARSOME BEING, with the head of a lion, a body protected by a turtle-like shell, six feet of a bear, and the tail of a serpent.
The Tarasque.
It attacked men attempting to cross the Rhône River, until Saint Martha was asked to help control the beast. As it was about to devour a man whole, Martha tamed the beast and brought it to the villagers who stoned and speared it to death.
Marthe Garçon was awarded with a life of immortality that she used to help others who were unable to protect themselves. Centuries later, attacks had begun again in southern France, now by the hands—claws—of the Beast of Gévaudan. A French soldier named Sebastien Valet drank rain water from the paw print of a werewolf, and became one himself. His pre-existing evil nature was heightened as he took on the form of this beast that murdered hundreds.
Marthe was again recruited to help tame the beast, this time alongside Sebastien's sister, Marie-Jeanne Valet. Together they defeated both Sebastien and the Beast and Marthe helped Marie-Jeanne perform Damnatio Memoriae and erase Sebastien from history.
Marthe and Marie-Jeanne became inseparable until Marthe outlived her best friend's natural life, and she was left on her own again until another centuries later when she saw an eerily-familiar face in France once again.

• marthe (that's her name, it's french for martha so that's why it says saint martha in the summary) is immortal. that's not a part of the original legend but,,, im adding my own spin. anyway this is kinda like a stefan/damon and elena/katherine situation?? since marie-jeanne and allison look the exact same
• you can decide if marthe and marie-jeanne were romantically involved in the 1700s (in my mind they were) so in the summer before season 3 when allison and her dad are in france, marthe sees them and is like holy shit that's marie-jeanne,,, except it's not bc i watched her die in my arms
• i feel like chris might know who marthe is??? but allison doesn't and becomes actual friends (+ more 👀) w marthe who never tells her abt who she actually is. chris maybe talks to marthe alone abt who she is?? maybe?? just bc he knows all the argent lore stuff so he might recognize her. him and allison go home but surprise! marthe goes to beacon hills bc 1) she wants a change in scenery and 2) bc she's really attached to allison
• i feel like marthe might have an innate power where animals can't/are less likely to hurt her yknow?? so maybe she can protect ppl from the alpha pack and is able to hurt them more than the other hunters. oh and i feel like marthe would live w chris & allison 😏
• then in 3b when the nogitsune comes chris asks marthe if she know anything abt the nogitsune bc it's "ancient" even though it's japanese so she MIGHT only know like the very very basics of it, like just from what she's heard from word of mouth
• when marthe and allison start to get closer, allison dies wnd it's like she's reLIVING MARIE-JEANNES DEATH 💔 then she goes back home to france, depressed
• this is optional but i'd think it'd be cool if you had marthe come back in season 5 when the dread doctors try to replicate the beast of gévaudan and have her talk abt who she actually is w the pack, her taming the tarasque, then hunting the beast w marie-jeanne. but you can always just end it off after 3b when allison dies and everyone's mourning bc pain
