SATIS PASCAL TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE CAPITOL. She bathed in the riches and attention rewarded to her from reigning victorious in the seventy-third Hunger Games, giving Panem quite the show on nationwide television. While an underdog from District Three, the exposed power lines in the arena decorated similarly to a city's ruins worked in her favor. And although her knowledge with technology earned her four nondirect kills—sacrifices, Satis prefers to call them, for the common good of P̶a̶n̶e̶m̶ the Capitol—she was forced to resort to the use of a brick for the ultimate tribute demise.

     And as compensation for her trauma, Satis readily accepted the fame and fortune.

     Her name was often in the news, earning her a reputation as a philanthropist. She was broadcasted making appearances in the less-prosperous districts, delivering food to citizens in the name of the Capitol and unifying the country. Of course, some saw through her facade but frankly, Satis didn't care as long as she remained enough in the Capitol's clutches for them to not view her as a threat to allow her some sort of individuality.

In order to maintain that, Satis has also never done something as foolish as to involve herself with any ol' Panem citizen—especially not in one of the outlying districts that she frequented.

Although, there's something particularly different about the District Twelve man whose public whipping she interfered with, but she can't quite put her finger on it. Naturally, it becomes the lone thing she can think about and is determined to figure out what it is.

• this is very open ended since this used to be one my drafts that has now transitioned into an entirely different gale draft lol, but i made these graphics and didn't want them to go to waste lmao

• firstly, i made the timeline changeable since if you wanted to add in satis' games (look up the 73rd hunger games on the fandom wiki) then by all means go for it but that's totally optional

• so basically yknow when finnick was like to katniss "oh you would've made it out like a bandit in the captiol...money jewels etc" yeah well satis IS alike to said bandit. sis graciously accepted all that since she is literally traumatized for life

• the capitol-made reputation for her is a philanthropist. she helps the needy (all in the name of The Capitol™️ ) in exchange for keeping the smallest bit of freedom she can while living the life of a victor...aka she doesn't want to be sold like finnick

• on her visit to 12 between the 74th games and the quarter quell, she first arrives during the morning-ish and is followed by a camera crew while handing out bread to people in the seam etc (even tho the district should have more food than usual since they won the previous year...idk work with me here) but is still there into the afternoon when gale begins getting whipped. since she's already in the area, she's the first victor to run out in front of gale and commander thread is a dick to her, naturally. he tells her to move, she says no (this is all being filmed too btw! which paints a hearty target on her back since the capitol's being shown to be a little sus), he whips her deep in the leg so she falls to the ground and can't stand up on her own unlike katniss could since she only got hit in the face. i feel like satis would fall down beside gale and he'd be able to see her and he would just be like "what're you doing" in really labored breaths and be angry grr 🤬 since he recognizes her, and she'd reply with something like "getting something really good for the cameras" LOL

• katniss and peeta and haymitch eventually join, katniss can get in the face if you want idc, but she helps satis stand and walk to her house when she sees the deep gash in her leg

• at katniss' house, satis explains why she's there, how she needed to step in (even aside from her "role", she's still a decent person) etc etc. katniss' mom prob tells her to stay overnight to let her leg heal and is in the kitchen with gale (on another table?? or maybe they have some kind of sofa/bench for her) so when gale wakes up (no one's taking watch rn) they talk and gale's very much "you shouldn't have done that 🤬 i don't need any pity advocates 🤬 i'm not another one of your charity cases 🤬" and satis is like ...damn boy you got some unresolved issues!! so she naturally sticks around bc he genuinely fascinates her and,,, idk. you can add in a more valid reason here but this is all i got

• you can choose if she goes into the quell or not! maybe her and gale actually started to bond more so when she's reaped he's lowkey hurt?? and obvi she would replace wiress, so do what you want with that. and you can also choose if she dies in the arena and the book doesn't go onto mockingjay, if she lives and does go onto mockingjay, if she's captured (could make an interesting reunion between her and gale and give him an ulterior motive to go 👀), if she goes straight to 13 or continues her capitol work, whatever. just for reference, if you do have her join the rebellion in 13 but have her not in the quarter quell, her vendetta against the capitol and snow will not be as strong as say katniss' or johanna's or finnick's. yes, she wants to see them defeated, but she's essentially been treated top tier by them. she admittedly had it easy compared to other victors, so keep that in mind when they talk abt their experiences with snow/the capitol etc. satis will not by any means advocate for snow/the capitol or invalidate their experienced, but she can't really relate to the others' difficulties with snow/the capitol and acknowledges that
