ILA CRAVES VALIDATION. She's been raised to live up to perfection, to obey her father's orders as Ronan the Accuser, distinguished Kree warlord. She's worked to be his right-hand, jumping at every opportunity to improve her reputation among the ranks. Despite being a child of a nefarious radical, favoritism was nonexistent. Ila worked for her name.
And when she and her twin brother are called to fulfill a task ordered by their father, in yet another competition with their childhood rivals, Gamora and Nebula, there's no hesitation.
Ila would come out on top, any and all distractions prohibited.
NOTES:
• ila and bodhi are ronan the accuser's kids and went through a similar training to what gamora and nebula went through, etc. ronan agreed to help thanos w finding the infinity stones if thanos destroyed xandar, and thanos agreed if ronan got the orb which brings us to gotg vol 1
• ila, bodhi, gamora, and nebula grew up together and basically hate each other since they've always been plotted against each other in competitive training etc. so naturally, when ronan sends his kids to retrieve the orb and thanos orders gamora and nebula to do the same, competition ensues (the amazing race: galaxy edition)
• ila is clairvoyant and bodhi is telepathic (their mother was psychometric). they obviously use this to their advantage which gamora and nebula often complain about in reference to their past fights during training as they saw it as a form of cheating...and they always bring it up during an argument. for example, ila would make a snide comment like "and that's why i always beat you" and gamora would respond like "no, you always used your powers so it wasn't a fair fight" and ila's def the type to fight dirty, so she's unfazed by this
• ila and bodhi split up (half-mutually?? they have a love-hate relationship so this decision was half-"let's divide and conquer" and half-"i literally hate your guts pls get out of my face") and bodhi ends up meeting up w groot and rocket (he's the kind of guy to be like "hey ila!" *holds rocket up by the scruff of his neck as rocket curses and threatens to shoot him* "look what i found!") and ila finds quill first. the events basically play out the same, they get arrested together, break out, etc
• ila is greysexual!! include this!! and don't have her just automatically have some "revelation" once laying eyes on quill, this should be built up over time. she's never really seen any kind of romantic relationships in her life since neither her or bodhi remember their mom (you can decide what happened to her! maybe she died on the planet that ronan and the krees conquered, which was also where he met her??) and her life's always been very !! be the best or don't exist !! so any kind of partner has never even been remotely close to the picture
• ila and gamora eventually have a childhood rivals-to-friends arc and end up becoming a dynamic duo!! cue lots of shared jokes between them about quill & them making fun of him together <3 as for ila and quill themselves, they have a similar dynamic like he and gamora do, but don't just have ila steal gamora's lines and stuff, we hate that here
