Azrael POV
I had some thing I needed to get done before tonight. Today was the day Destiny was officially opening her shop back up. I told her I would be coming after she reminded me over 100 times. She also invited Brickz, Kevz and BT, as well as Acacia. Today was a big day for Des cause she's really trying to put her salon on the map, there was going to be bloggers and some influencer people there today so it was a serious day for her.
I made my way to my warehouse quickly, we made another drop last night and my plug was paid and happy. As ugly as my world was, I loved the money I made but I was getting ready to stop all of it. The amount of money I've made over the years was insane, I was more than clear. I needed to go ghost mode and buy a house. That time was coming.
"What should I wear today for your sisters thing?" Kev said looked through his check book, I looked up at him then back down at my phone, "Anything bro, just look calm" I said. "I need to look good, you never know who you might meet there, I'm looking to make a few investments into some black businesses." Kev said, that got me thinking. "That sounds hard, you should do that still. I would want to do that too, silent investor" I said thinking.
Putting money into our own, our own supermarkets, our own shopping centres, our own banks. Black owned! That was something I was definitely going to do.
"Yeah we should still.. So Bro, Acacia coming today?" Kevz said smiling, I locked my phone getting up ready to leave this place, everything I needed to do was done and this wasn't a place I liked to chill. "Why we always talking about her?" I asked annoyed, I don't like talking about close personal shit to me all the time and it's starting to feel like she's all we ever speak about.
"Yeah.. yeah she's coming" I said as I checked to see if I had everything I needed, Kevz nodded. "Are you gonna introduce her to your family?" Kevz said walking over to me ready to leave, I looked up at him fed up and made my way down the hall way "Bro? If we ain't talking about business why we always talking about Acacia? Let's talk about other shit, stop asking me about her. Talk about Aisha" I said shaking my head heading out of the warehouse with Kevz behind me chuckling.
Kevz was like my best friend but this guy knew how to push my buttons and he does that shit on purpose. "I was just curious but yeah of course we can talk about Aisha, were looking for a place together still" I turned around to look at him surprised, "Seriously?" I said as I stopped dead in my tracks. All the mandem were just getting serious with their girls. "Yeah man, we've been together for a long time, although our relationship is quite dysfunctional we wanna make it work init' so I asked her to move in with me but I suggested we find a place together" Kevz said as he walked over to his car, I followed behind him walking to mine. "Well congrats to you lot, happy for you bro but make sure your on time and bring Aisha with you today if she ain't busy, tell her come celebrate with the family" I said as I unlocked my Benz getting in. "Say nothing bro, I'll see you later" Kevz said before I drove off.
I drove by Costa drive through getting myself a peach iced tea, I loved those. I drove to Reese's getting some food before I went home to chill before I decided to get dressed for tonight.
Once I had finished eating and was situated, I called Acacia.
"Hello" Acacia said after 4 rings, I was texting on my work phone as I spoke to her, "You alright?" I said. The phone rustled for a second before she spoke, "yeah I just got my hair, I left your sisters like 20 minutes ago" I diverted my attention to my phone, "You was at my sisters house? or the salon?" I said as I froze waiting for her answer, "Yeah I went to her house, people are setting up at the salon we couldn't do it there. Do you wanna see it?" Acacia said happily, "Yeah okay" I said, Acacia and my sister were really building a friendship, I liked it. She facetimed me and I answered it greeted by Acacia's bare face with her hair looking very nice. "You look good still, she done your hair nice" I said honestly making her smile.
