Y/n sighed as she walked next to Natsu towards the arena, she yawned as she rubbed her eyes a bit. She woke up extremely early from Natsu's excitement, today he was going to fight with Sting and Rogue. Y/n sighed as she ran her hand through her hair trying to calm herself a bit.
"Natsu your match doesn't start till like 2 hours! Why am I up..?!"
Y/n complained as she jumped on Natsu's back so that he can carry her. Natsu started to chuckle as he held y/n and began to run towards the arena.
"I want to make sure you're up so that you can see me beat that bastard's ass!"
Natsu yelled making y/n tense up a bit. She knew her brother would always get revenge if someone were to hurt her but for some reason she didn't want anything to happen to Sting. Y/n pushed herself off of Natsu and landed on the floor carefully. Y/n looked at Natsu with soft eyes as she held his hand tightly.
"Don't hurt him too bad, please..."
Y/n begged Natsu as he looked at her with soft eyes. He sighed as he pulled y/n into his arms.
"Why do you care so much for a bastard that hurts you?"
Natsu asked y/n making her look up at him with soft eyes. Y/n sighed as she put her head back in his chest so that he could hug her.
"Because he's worth it, okay..? I can't explain it to you. Just keep the promise! Don't beat him up that bad, please?"
Y/n asked Natsu as she looked deep into his eyes. Natsu sighed as he patted y/n's head and nodded a bit.
"I won't beat him up that bad but I'll make sure he pays for hurting you. You can't take that away from me I'm your big brother, Igneel gave me that job."
Natsu told y/n making her blush a bit from embarrassment. She remembered when Igneel would always tell Natsu to take care of her. She started to chuckle as she grabbed Natsu's hand like she used to when she was little.
"Thank you for caring about me, you'll always be my big brother but I promise I can take care of myself now."
Y/n told Natsu making him smile softly. Y/n had changed throughout these 7 years, she was now more independent. Natsu remembered how she would run to him to fix all her problems but now it's different, she was the one that fixed all her problems. Natsu couldn't help but grin as he pulled y/n in and rubbed her head.
