Y/n held Natsu's hand as he scolded y/n walking back to the guild. She rolled her eyes as she pouted a bit.
"You act like such a dad, Natsu! He wasn't even flirting with me!"
Y/n told Natsu as he looked back at her and started to rant more as fire came out of his throat. Happy was giggling as he sat on y/n's head.
"I don't care! He was flirting with you! You don't know what he could've done to you! You don't even know how to protect yourself! Besides I told you to stop hanging out with him!"
Natsuy yelled at y/n making her frown a bit realizing that Natsu had called her weak in a way. Natsu kicked the door open revealing everyone in the guild look at the both of them. Y/n yanked her hand away from Natsu and started running towards the Library, Lucy looked at y/n curiously as she turned towards Natsu realizing something had happened between the both of them.
"What did you do to her..?!?"
Lucy asked Natsu as she bonked his head hard, She hated when anyone made y/n sad especially Natsu who was her big brother. He rolled his eyes as he rubbed the bump on his head.
"Some guy was flirting with her..! I had to stop them! She keeps hanging out with that blonde boy!"
Natsu told Lucy as he tightened his fist. Lucy sighed as she realized what was happening, Natsu was being overprotective of his little sister. Lucy started to chuckle a bit as she patted Natsu's back a bit.
"Natsu she's not little anymore, she's about to turn 12."
Natsu sighed as he sat down on the floor stubbornly. He knew that she was right but he promised Igneel he would protect y/n no matter what. He rubbed his head feeling guilty that he yelled at her a bit. He got up and immediately ran towards the place y/n was at. Lucy chuckled as she shook her head and went to go find Cana.
Natsu entered the library as he spotted y/n in the corner reading a book about magic. He started to feel nervous as he walked up to her a bit. Y/n immediately noticed and turned away from him.
"I don't want to talk to you, idiot."
Natsu got a tick mark on his forehead from her calling him an idiot. He grabbed y/n's hand and started to march out the guild with her yelling and yanking her arm away. He took her to a field and started to smirk.
"Fight me!"
Y/n looked at Natsu as she sighed and shook her head a bit. She knew this was his way of saying sorry. She smiled and stood in her fighting stance. She ran up to Natsu and started to kick him and punch him with one of her elements, ice.
"You can do better than that, y/n..!"
Natsu yelled as he kicked y/n off of him. Y/n smirked as she did a backflip and launched herself towards Natsu. She punched him right in the jaw making him fly into a tree.
"How's that for not protecting myself..?!"
Y/n yelled as she marched over to Natsu and stepped on him softly. He winced a bit as he pushed her foot off and sighed, he pulled y/n down and started to hug her tightly.
"I know you can protect yourself, y/n. I'm just scared something will happen to you..! I promised Igneel I would take care of you and that means with stupid boys too!"
Y/n smiled as she realized that Natsu was just doing his job of being a big brother. She hugged him back as she shook her head chuckling a bit.
"He helped me look for you, Natsu! He's not stupid trust me! Besides you're a stupid boy too!"
Y/n yelled making Natsu grumble as he grabbed y/n and started to ruffle her hair. She laughed a bit as she tried pushing Natsu off playfully.
"I'm 18 though and you're 11! I know he was trying to help you but you're young y/n! He's too much of a troublemaker for you!"
"You're one to talk huh?"
Y/n told Natsu chuckling a bit from his little pout. She smiled at Natsu's sweet side as she hugged him again. He would only show this side of him to her and she liked it a lot. The both of them got up and wiped themselves off from all the dirt that got on them. Natsu picked up y/n and ran towards the guild with the both of them laughing, as they entered the guild they noticed that everyone was gathered together.
"What's happening, Gray?"
Y/n asked as she hopped off of Natsu and leaned towards him. Gray chuckled as he lifted her on his shoulders so that she could see. They were choosing people for the S-Class trials. Y/n started to cheer as she heard Natsu and Gray get elected for the trials.
"Yeah!! Go Gray and big brother!!"
Y/n cheered as she hugged Gray's head making him chuckle a bit and made a smile ice rose for y/n. She blushed a little as she grabbed it. She had to admit maybe she had a tiny itty bitty crush on Gray.

Y/n started to cry as she hugged Natsu begging him to take her along with him. He chuckled a bit as he kneeled down to her height and kissed her forehead.
"I promise I'll be back y/n, and when I do come back I'll be an S-Class wizard!!"
Y/n sniffled a bit as she nodded and hugged Natsu. He chuckled a bit as he started to take off his scarf. He started to wrap it around y/n making her look at him curiously.
"Here, it's a promise that I'll come back."
Y/n started to cry as she hugged him even tighter before letting go. Natsu got into the boat along with the others. Y/n started to wave goodbye at everyone as she grinned knowing that he could do anything.
"Make sure your ass comes back, Natsu..!!"
————Timeskip to 7 years later————
Y/n sat on the bridge as she sighed and shook her head. The breeze made her H/L H/C hair flow along with Natsu's scarf. She held onto it as she hugged it a bit.
"I know you'll be back, Natsu. You made me a promise and you always keep those."
Y/n smiled as she stood up and started to stretch a bit. She looked back and saw that Romeo was waiting for her and ran off to him. The both of them would always come to the bridge and wait for all of them hoping they would appear out of nowhere.
"Just wait until you see me, Natsu! You'll be so proud of me when you see how much stronger I got!"
Y/n thought to herself as she walked off with Romeo to the guild. She smiled as she walked next to Romeo talking about random things about their day. She started to think about Sting as she shook her head a bit.
"I wonder how you're doing, Sting. You're probably still an asshole... What happened to you?"
