Y/n and the group had woken up for the second day of the magic games, everyone was already dressed and ready to compete for the day. Y/n sighed as she looked at Natsu with a small pout.
"I hope I get to compete today..."
Y/n pouted making Natsu chuckle as he ruffled her hair and pulled her in a hug, y/n startes to chuckled as she hugged Natsu back. She missed the affection he used to give her it made her feel little again.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll compete soon! And when you do I'm going to be there cheering for you!"
Natsu grinned at y/n making her face expression softened as she hugged Natsu tightly. It took him back a bit but he hugged y/n back with a small smile. Y/n pulled apart and started to walk out the inn with Natsu.
"Let's kick some ass today!"
Y/n yelled as she held her fist up, Natsu laughed as Happy raised his fist on y/n's head.
"Aye sir!! I mean ma'am!"
Y/n chuckled softly as Natsu ran off with Happy following behind him. Y/n then felt someone tap on her shoulder making her turn back, her E/C eyes met with Gray's eyes. Y/n tried turning back around but was stopped by him.
"Y/n, look I'm sorry for treating you the way I did yesterday... It just bothered me a lot that some asshole ruined the chance for me to get points."
Gray told y/n as he frowned at the thought about the situation that happened yesterday, y/n sighed as she hugged Gray's arm and kept walking with him. She rubbed his back in a comforting way and smiled softly at him.
"It's okay, just don't forget that I'm not trying to be your girlfriend. I want to be there for you because I care about you not to 'act like a clingy girlfriend'. It hurt that you treated me like that, you never treated me coldly even when I was a kid."
Y/n frowned at Gray as he sighed and ruffled her hair a bit. He knew that she was right and he felt bad that he treated her like that. Gray couldn't help but feel hurt that y/n said she didn't want to be his girlfriend though, he immediately shook his head to get those thoughts out of his head.
"I'm sorry, will you forgive me..?"
Gray asked as he gave her a genuine smile. Y/n pretended to think a bit as she held a finger on her chin, Gray couldn't help but blush as he thought her actions were cute. Y/n looked back at Gray and nodded softly.
"Of course, dummy! Now let's go and kick some ass today!"
Y/n yelled as she grabbed his hand and started to run towards the arena that was luckily near their inn.
