"Did you find someone else while I was gone, Sting..?"
Y/n asked Sting softly as she looked away and looked around his office. She didn't want to make eye contact with him, she was scared of his answer. Sting chuckled softly as he pulled her into his lap and started kissing her neck and gave small soft kisses on the area where his mating mark would be at.
"Idiot, I can never love another but you. You're my mate I'm sure of it."
Sting told y/n making her look back at him with a smile. She hugged him tightly as tears threatened to come out. Deep down inside she was happy that he had stayed loyal to her, yet she was also scared at the fact that he'll get hurt if he really was her mate. Sting looked at y/n as he raised his eyebrow at her and chuckled.
"What about you?"
Sting asked making her roll her eyes as she looked back at Sting and shook her head. Her face became expressionless as she got out of his lap and walked around his office, she traced her fingers over the books on his book shelf.
"I could never find another, Sting. I love you and only you. Besides even if I did find another I can't, I won't allow myself to become close with people again. I'll only hurt them."
Y/n told Sting as she grabbed a book and opened it. Sting frowned at her words, he hated hearing that from her. A girl who loved making friends and treated them kindly was now shutting herself away from everyone.
"What about me..? What about Fairytail and all your friends..?"
Sting asked making y/n look at him and look away. She tried her best to push down her emotions as she shook her head.
"I'll still be the same... just a little less. I can't show that I care, Sting... Acnologia would use that against me."
Y/n told Sting as he gritted his teeth and grabbed her arm, he pulled her down onto the office table and pinned her. Papers scattered everywhere as the book made a loud thudding noise as it fell onto the ground. Y/n's eyes widened as she looked up into his blue eyes. Sting's tears fell onto her cheek as he shook his head.
"Don't distance yourself from me please... we're here for you for a reason y/n..! We'll help you take Acnologia down!"
Sting told y/n as she looked at him with a pained expression. It hurt her to see him like this. She shook her head as she cupped his cheek and rubbed it softly with her thumb.
