Faith Revival for the Pure Heart

Listen Attentively

Be the one who learns to listen
instead of doing multiple things,
just listen attentively instead of being the
one who's not actually listening to anything,
don't just listen and not internalise
by not accepting what people are saying
as you think they're lies when you already know you've been given the same advice

Allah commands you do things which are
beneficial but you push them aside,
He will always be there for you, even when
you get to a time where you need to confide,
but if you don't listen to Him you're heading
towards your own plan of destruction,
as what you put into your own heart
was the cause of your soul's corruption

As in the grave your lips will be sealed
you'll shake the ground as you try to lift
your arms to open your mouth
but there's no way of opening it,
your soul will be the only thing that speaks
and if it cannot answer the questions
presented in front of you, then this would be the perfect time to reflect on who you please
