"Next up is hyahunin isshu," Mitsuru announced.
"Huh?" I questioned, while Nico tries to say it.
"It's like a card game, but with poems." Uno said.
"A hundred of them. One on each card" Jyugo said.
"Please tell me, you're joking?" I asked.
"Nope," Jyugo said.
"So any Ideas on who to send?" Rock asked. Before we looked over at Hajime.
"Well, we got one at least." Hajime looks over at Seitarou. "You're up, Seitarou".
"Sir!" Seitarou says with a smile.
"Him, are you sure?!" Uno and Jyugo shouted, as my cellmates circled around Seitarou.
"Wait, so does this mean you're actually useful for something?" Uno asked.
"I kinda forgotten, you were actually here." Rock said.
"I didn't know you could read." Nico said.
"You guys need to give Seitarou, a break." I mumbled, while Seitarou cried to Hajime.
"The rules for hyahunin isshu, aka competitive karuta is very easy. The game itself requires Intense amount of mental focus! Three members are allowed to participate, that includes one guard." Mitsuru announced.
"So is it a six player game?" Rock asked.
"The third player is a substitute, in a likely event the player will collapse from mental exhaustion. The third is allowed to step in and take over, so the game can go on." Hajime said.
"Sounds pretty intense" Rock said.
"But what inmates should we send?" Seitarou asked.
"Hmm" Hajime hummed. Jyugo started getting nervous in the corner of my eye."Let's think about this".
"I can handle this" Uno stepped in.
"This isn't like blackjack, you moron!" Jyugo shouted.
"I know that, but card games are all the same." Uno said.
"No, it's not." I said.
"Yeah, that statement is false." Rock said.
"So who should our third person be?" Seitarou asked.
"I have someone in mind." Uno said.
"Who's that?" Nico asked, before Uno looked over at me.
"Y/n," Uno said.
"Wait, what?!" I asked.
"You heard me, I picked you." Uno said.
"But why me? I only know some Japanese wording." I asked.
"Because if i win this tournament then we both get a prize, and secondly you're hurt so this will be easy for you. And all do respects to my other cellmates, there's no way they can do this. I mean Nico isn't quite brain dead but others are hopeless." Uno said.
