Mbali : I think its not Musa sir.
Commander : Then who is it?
Mbali : That time when we went to
the party, my friends came to pick
me up with this other old man. My
friends wont remember anything
because they were inebriated. When
i got into his car, there were glasses
the same as the one's you found at
the scene.
Commander : Who is the guy?
Mbali : Jack
Commander : Any information on
how we could contact him?
Mbali : All i know is that he is a
married man who owns a house in
Phakalane. You can call my friends, i
think they have his number.
(Mbali gives the commander one of
her friends' number, Pearl)
Commander : (Calls Pearl)
Pearl : Hellow
Commander : Hellow mam. Its the
station commander, am the one
investigating Mbali's case.
Pearl : So how far are you with the
investigations?
Commander : Mbali suspects that
Jack might be the culprit since she
once saw the same glasses in his car
the same night you went to the
party.
Pearl: I dnt remember well because
i was drunk that night. But Jack left
too after Mbali left the party.
Commander : Do you have his
contacts?
Pearl : (Keeps quite for a while)
Commander : Mam are you still
there?
Pearl : But sir he is a married man.
He asked us not to land him in
trouble once we get ourselves into
trouble.
Commander : Pearl, i need his
contacts. Now!
Pearl : Ok sir. But promise that you
wont tell where you got his number.

Commander : Thank you mam. We
will call you when we need
anything. (Hangs up).. I managed to
get his number which i will call once
i get to the police station. Mbali do
you have any reasons beside the
glasses which makes you believe
that its Jack?
Mbali : Yes sir. He has been
following me around, asking me to
sleep with him but i refused. He
never gave up. I think he used me
since he got the chance at the
bush.
Commander : Did you see his face?
Mbali : No sir i ddnt. It was too dark
in the bush but i know its him.
Commander : If you didn't see his
face, then its going to be very
difficult for us to.... (He is disturbed
by his ringing phone).. Hellow
officer.
Officer : Sir, there is a lady here in
the police station who came to hand
over Musa's glasses.
Commander : What! How did she get
the glasses?
Officer : I didn't ask further on what
she said.
Commander : Ok i will be there in a
few minutes (hangs up) ... The
police officer just called and he said
that there is a lady at the police
station now who came to hand over
Musa' glasses.
Mbali : i knew that Musa was
innocent. He woundnt do such a
thing to me.
Commander : Ok Mbali. I have to
quickly rush to the station now to
hear what the lady has to say about
the glasses.
Mbali : Who could that lady be? The
officer ddnt tell you her name?.
Commander : No he ddnt. I will let
you know when i get there. (As he
leaves to the police station)
Bonolo : So Mbali who is Jack?
Mbali : (Embarrassed) This other old
man. He looks the same age as dad.
Bonolo : What! Do i know him?
Mbali : No i dnt think that you do.
Mother : Bonolo enough now with all
the questions!
Bonolo : Am sorry mom
Father : I just wish that they catch
that jerkass!
Mother : He deserves to rot in jail!

The commander gets to the station
and went straight to his office where
he finds Musa and Bonnie.

Commander : Hellow Lady. So you
have the glasses?
Bonnie : Yes i do
Commander : So where have you
been all the time and how did you
get his glasses?
Bonnie : I just heard about this a
few days ago.
Commander : Let me see the glasses
then.
Bonnie : (looks at Musa) You know
what we agreed right. Hope that you
ddnt forget.
Musa : Give him the glasses!
Bonnie : You know how heartless i
can be when you dont behave. You
still in or you changed your mind?
Musa : To be honest.......
Commander : (Cuts him) What is she
talking about?
Musa : Its nothing big sir
Bonnie : It will be big if you dnt
behave.
Musa : Am sorry Bonnie. Please
hand him the glasses.
Bonnie : (Reaches to her hand bag
with her hand nd pulls out a plastic
bag which she threw on the table)
Commander : Take them out lady
Bonnie : (She took out the glasses
from the plastic)
Commander : (as he carefully studies
the glassea) Are they yours Mr

Musa : Yes they are.
Commander : (Looks at Bonnie
suspiciously) Lady, i asked you where
you took the glasses?
Bonnie : Sir, I ...,....................
