Bonnie : Sir, I'v been keeping them
since Musa broke up with me.
Commander : When was that time?
Bonnie : A few weeks ago.
Commander : Where exactly did you
get the glasses lady?
Bonnie : At the restaurant when we
had a fight. I slapped him so hard
that they fell off his face.
Commander : Then he left the
glasses with you?
Bonnie : Out of dudgeon, he just left
the glasses on the floor and left the
restaurant. I took them and kept
them until now.
Musa : What! She's not lying. Ever
since that time i'v never seen my
glasses. Been wondering where they
could be.
Bonnie : Thanks to me hunny
Commander : Ok then. Who saw you
putting on the glasses for the last
time at the restaurant?
Musa : Mbali did
Commander : Mbali?
Musa : Yes sir.
Commander : Ok let me call her to
confirm. Lady, whats your name?
Bonnie : Bonnie.

(The commander calls Mbali)

Mbali : Hello sir.
Commander : Mam, the lady who
came to hand over the glasses is
Bonnie.
Mbali : Bonnie? (Thinks for a while)
Commander : Do you know her
mam?
Mbali : You mean Musa's concubine?
Commander : I don't know mam. But
she said she once saw you at the
restaurant a few weeks ago.
Mbali : Ohh that one. Yes i know
her, Musa introduced her to me that
time at the restaurant. So how did
she have his glasses?
Commander : yes thats what am
investigating right now. So at the
restaurant, was Musa putting on the
glasses?
Mbali : Yes he was.
Commander : Did Musa have a fight
with Bonnie?
Mbali : yes they did. That's why i
left.
Commander : Ok mam. I Will call if
we need anything.
Mbali : So how about Musa. Did you
release him?
Commander : We still have a few
questions to ask him. But now its
clear that he might be innocent, so
maybe we will release him.
Mbali : Ok sir. (Hangs up)

Commander : since now your glasses
are here, i just need to ask you one
more question.
Musa : Ok go ahead
Commander : Where were you at 10
PM when Mbali was rapped?
Musa : Like i said sir, i just got home
from the hospital by that time. So i
was home!
Commander : Who saw you Mr
Nhlabathi?
Musa : No one sir because i stay
alone at home and all my neighbors
were not awake by that time. But
you can call the doctor and ask him
the time i left the hospital.

(The commander calls the hospital
and asked to talk to Linda's doctor)

Commander : Doctor, last time when
Mr Nhlabathi came to to the
hospital to visit his wife, when did
he leave?
Doctor : I remember that i was the
one who told him to leave. It was
around 9:45 PM
Commander : Ok sir. Thank you for
your time.
Doctor : By the way, he never came
back. There is something urgent that
i need to tell him about his wife.
Commander : we held him in the
cell while we were doing some
investigations. But now i think he is
innocent, we wil release him soon.
Anyway, i'l tell him.
Doctor : Ok sir. (Hangs up)

(The commander sympathetically
looked at Musa)

Musa : What did he say?
Commander : he said you left the
hospital late. So it cant be you.
Musa : I told you sir. I told you !
Commander : He also said he has
something urgent to tell you about
your wife.
Musa : What! Is she ok? What did
he say?
Commander : He didn't say anything
more about her. He'l tell you once
you get to the hospital.
Musa : please release me sir. I have
to see my wife, now that am
innocent.
Bonnie : Your wife.?? What about.....
Musa : (Cuts her) What about what?
My wife is sick right now!
Commander : Ok sir. Let me do some
paper work first then release you
Musa : (Stands up and walks around
the office. He felt that the
commander was wasting his time. All
he wanted by that time was to be
with his wife)
Commander : Am done. Take your
clothes and go.
Musa : (Puts on his clothes) My car
keys sir?
Commander : Yes, you will get them
at the reception.
Musa : Ok sir. ( As he walks out to
the reception)
Bonnie : Musa what about me? Are
you leaving me here?
Musa : (He quietly walked to the
reception as Bonnie follows him. He
got his car keys, drove off to the
hospital and left Bonnie at the
police station)
