Jaune along with Kuroka, Erza, Tio, Shion, Blair, and Atago were on the road to Mismede while Jaune was teaching them how to play chess by giving them cards that showed how the pieces move, the rules, and common tactics. Jaune had then decided to give the driver a break by switching places with him and took the reins. Jaune had then used his extend senses spell every once and a while to make sure there would be no surprises, he heard something. He heard someone panting and sound of rapid footsteps and breaking sticks. He then heard much more of them and came to the conclusion someone was being chased.
Jaune stopped the carriage and pulled his sword out when the person running came out and Jaune saw it was a little girl.

Jaune then ran to her after she fell down with his sword drawn and ready to protect her. He then saw a ragtag team of bandits.

Jaune then said "You lot better have a good reason for chasing this little girl". The leader then said "Give that brat back or else you wanna be hero". Jaune then put his palm out and focused fire mana to his palm before saying "Arcane fire rocket". A large fireball shot out and incinerated the bandits.
Jaune then turn to the girl and saw she was unconscious from exhaustion. Jaune then picked her up gingerly and brought her inside the carriage where the girls were surprised and after being told what happened, they began to care for her. They had took out a blanket and covered her as Erza allowed her to use her lap as a pillow so she can rest. They then continued to Mismede for another hour or two when the little girl had woken up.
Jaune then said "Oh you're awake, that's good, are you ok". The little girl asked "W-where am I", Jaune then said "You're safe now, those men will not hurt you. Can you tell us your name". The little girl said "I am Myu, I was kidnapped when those mean men killed my mommy and daddy". Jaune was angered and glad that he incinerated them.
The girls then said that they will protect her and before anyone can say anything else, Myu asked "Are you going to be my new daddy and mommies". Jaune, Erza, Kuroka, Tio, and Leafa were shocked before they nodded and Jaune picked her up. Jaune embraced her and said "We will be happy to have a beautiful daughter". The girls then began to hug her saying they will always be there for her and always protect her.
The caravan had made it to the kingdom of Mismede, With Jaune holding Myu and taking her to get some new clothes.

They had then reached the castle and had met with the king of Mismede, King Jamukha Blau Mismede.

Jaune had then used his gate spell and allowed King Tristwin to enter and the two kings had begun to discuss the terms of the treaty and made small talk as equals to smooth out any issues before they become a large problem. Jamukha had allowed Jaune to see the library for any new spells he could learn.

The young girl had introduced herself as Leen and that she was a fairy. Jaune and Leen had talked over tea about Magic, with Jaune impressing her with his talents of magic. They had talked more about their lives with Jaune being surprised that Leen was the master of Charlotte, the king's court magician. They had talked until he saw it was dark so they called a night but said they would talk more at a later date.
