"I thought you said you wanted coffee?" I turned and looked at her confused when I see her parked outside a restaurant
"Nah , I lost it - I'm craving for something chinese" she took her seatbelt off and went out of the car
After making sure that her car is locked , I followed her inside and see her occupying the space for two in the corner from where you can see the side of the road
"What would you like?" she asked without taking her eyes off the menu
"Whatever you're having" I answered before I get myself seated
I took my time to scan the whole place, it's very Yumi-like , given her social status , nobody would ever think that she'd settle in places like this , but I know how she enjoys peace so much , just a couple of patron occupying some other seats , some are still in their business suits , and I spotted two families getting their early dinner I guess , a couple of frames with chinese history hanging on the wall , and ironically , the song Best part is playing in the background.

"I love that song" I looked back at Yumi to see her waving her hand to one of the waiters
"I know" she answered , her lips tugging a gentle smile
I looked at her as she's giving the waitress our orders
She offered the waitress a simple thanks before looking back at me
"So , how's the preparation for the Valentine's day?"
"It was chaotic , the highlight was the kissing booth , but we can't find the perfect candidates yet, probably 3 from the cheerleading squad , 3 from the soccer team, you know for variations , I know a lot of girls would die to see them , and we're still looking for the other four , we're planning to have at least 10 , I'm planning to send invites to the Arts Department "
"Hmmn, that's nice , you still have a couple of days anyway , that won't be that hard" she replied while looking at the cars rushing to get to their destination outside
"But have you checked your email lately? I think they sent you an invite too" I asked
She turned her head back to me
"No , and don't even try , try fucking booth , and maybe I'll consider" she let out a chuckle
"Gross, but our school doesn't need that , they'll be all over the place after the program anyway" I answered and joined her throaty laugh
The waitress came with our ordered food with a nice complimentary dish and a stack of chopsticks in the tray
I looked at Yumi with an amused face
"I'm sorry , we're not expecting anybody to join us soon" I smiled to the waitress
"Oh that's fine , all of our tables have that, we have a lot of stocks of it than we can count, and our manager have a huge obsessions with chopsticks , so " the waitress laughed while gesturing a middle aged woman behind the cash register
"Oh - Thank you then" I offered her a smile and started digging into the food
"This is actually kind of funny" I heard Yumi say
I looked back at her to see the same amused face
"They probably expect people to accidentally eat a pair and will be needing a couple of new pairs after" she laughs
