I can feel the rays of sunlight showering my face, I slowly opened my eyes and let it wander around the room, visions of what happened the night before came flashing ,

She's still in love with me

I smiled at the thought

It sure is still not too late for me, for us..

But that smile swiftly turned into a frown when I noticed the pair of clothes neatly piled on top of the bedside table,

She's just here-

I looked at the space beside me to just get welcomed with empty space

She's gone

I was hoping that this day would be the perfect time to talk to her about how I feel, and with what happened last night - I had the slightest of hopes that today's gonna be different , but why not , we'll still see each other in Uni anyway, with that I picked up the last hope that's left in me and take myself out of bed.

***************************

"How's Yumi?" I raised my head to look at Fatima who's sitting in front of me

"I can't tell, she went home before she can even say Thank you" I shrugged my shoulders while letting my eyes wander to look for that familiar figure around the room

None

I let out a sigh before taking my attention back to the instructor up front , she has been missing a couple of classes lately, no matter how busy she gets, she always shows up , she never missed a whole day of class not until lately , she's just late-

"I'm so sorry I'm late"

I felt the hair in my nape stood straight at that , I heard the sound of heels approaching before it stopped, I looked up to see her taking the vacant seat just right beside me

"Hey" I whispered

I saw her smiled before taking her bag off her shoulder "Hey back"

"How are you feeling?"

"Aside from that massive headache, I'm all too well"

She looks fine - too fine actually

But I don't know if I'll be okay with that after what happened last night

"By the way, did you take me to your house all alone last night?" I heard her ask without taking her eyes off the instructor while tapping her pen gently on the table

"Yes I did" was my only response

"Wow, Thank you B - appreciate it" the corner of her mouth turning upwards

I gave her a quick glance "You're welcome"

I saw her turning her body to completely face me "I remember entering the campus, everything's a blur after, what happened?"

I studied her, curiosity's all over her face and I felt the sudden pang in my chest,

It was too special for me - and she can't remember?

"You don't remember what happened?" I decided to voice out

She has that blank look for a couple of seconds before she shaked her head

"Nothing really, I remembered inviting Coco for a drink, she told me about the fair for Valentine's day so I went here, and I can't remember anything after"

I followed the invisible hope as it was taken out of me and was sent flying out of the window together with the courage that I worked hard building this morning
