I slammed the car's door harder than I usually do and made my way up to Yumi's house , I was on my last step up when I felt my phone vibrated , I fished it out of my pocket and saw that it was from Yumi

Just as I hit the send button the door opened
"It's nice to see you finally showed up" she rolled her eyes and opened the door wider for me
"It hasn't even been twenty minutes" I took a step and take the appearance of the living room in

Just as how I remembered it , school activites have been so hectic lately that I can't even remember when was the last time we've done a sleepover
My eyes went back to her when I heard the door closing , she's wearing her black skimpy shorts that leaves too much for the imagination and one of her favorite loose shirts , my eyes travelled back to her face just to find her staring right back at me with a look that I can't read lately , like she's trying to tell me something , not in words but like , she wants me to figure it myself out
What I really like most about Yumi is her being transparent , she's happy when she's happy , she's sad when she is , no pretending - but something is really just quite off lately that I'm getting frustrated to know what and why
"Is that Bianca now honey?" a voice from the kitchen took us out from our staring contest
"Yes mom" she shouted back before focusing her eyes in the kitchen door while grabbing my hand in the process to lead me to the kitchen "Let's go , she's been waiting for you"
Her hand is so warm, now that I noticed , the kind of warmth that gives you comfort, the comfort that you'd always want near
We finally reached the dining area where I saw Yumi's mom , plate in front of her, but her attention on her phone
"Good evening Mrs. Garcia" I offered before leaning down for a kiss on her flawless cheeks of which she gladly returned after taking her phone down on the table
"It's nice to see you now B, I haven't see you for so long that I even wondered if you two broke up already" she offered me a smile while gesturing me to take a seat
I took the chair next to Yumi with a mind bottled with her statement , I turned my eyes to Yumi to check her reaction but she just shrugged her shoulder before she offered me the steak
"Broke up?" I looked back at her mom
She cleared her throat before answering "Your friendship? Like , I thought you're no longer friends with each other" she looked at Yumi and me back and forth
I smiled at her "That's probably not gonna happen anytime soon Mrs. Garcia , like she's stuck with me forever so" I let out a small laugh before accepting the knife that Yumi offered
"That goes the same way with you B, remember that" Yumi laughed after she sticked her tongue out
Of which I played with by making a face
Yup! Real mature
We both let out a giggle but stopped when we heard her mom spoke
"Awww , you guys are so cute , why can't you just date already , I've been waiting for you to tell me long time ago"
