I don't know why all the trees change in the fall
But I know you're not scared of anything at all
Don't know if Snow White's house is near or far away
But I know I had the best day with you today

I landed in LA at 4:30 pm and took a cab to my house. yes, I lived alone even though I'm under 18. well, my mother 'lives with me. but in reality, she just sleeps at the house twice a week. The other 5 days she lives in another house she bought for herself

and I like to keep it that way.

I texted Delilah that I have landed and she immediately texted back saying we needed to go shopping tomorrow . she couldn't pick me up because she was doing stuff with Niall's parents.

I'm just happy that they are on good terms again

once I reach home, I take out my one suitcase and one handbag and walk into the house

"IM HOME" I yell and run into the kitchen to the only person I know will be happy to see me. Helena, my housekeeper/ mother by default.

Helena was the one who has taken care of me since uncle Kevin left and mom completely gave up on me. she started living with me after her husband died 3 years ago.

I walk happily into the kitchen to come face to face with the devil. "mother. what are you doing here?" I ask and my eyes avert to Helena who was standing to the side of the room

she snarls and answers "well you were too busy hanging out with your crappy boyfriend so I decided to come to check up on the house to see if everyone was doing their jobs perfectly" she shots a pointed look to Helena who looks down immediately

mother points to the stove "Helena here was making pudding for herself, using our stuff. may I ask why?" she asks me

I roll my eyes "because I asked her to" I lied, I didn't ask her but I knew it was for me. I loved her pudding "you know like every child asks her mother to do" I just love pushing her buttons

my mom, Susan, turns red but she takes a calming breath "how was New Jersey?" she asks. I wanted to laugh. she didn't even know where I was

"New York. I was in New York" I reply. "and it was great."

she nods "how is your boyfriend? what was his name again?" she scowls

"Lev, he's great" I didn't wanna tell her the whole story and have her taunt me later of now staying on one guy for long

"yeah yeah great. go take a shower or don't. I'm off now, see you in a week" she picked up her purse

"sure. the door is that way" I point and she walks out while glaring at me.
