What I didn't expect was for Gabriel to pinch me back.

"Oi!"

"You started it," He muttered, those eyes glaring at me.

"Yeah but you're obviously stronger, that's not fair."

"Shh, don't raise your voice."

"Excuse me? I ca-,"

"Rory,"

Oh right, he meant they could hear us. I clenched my teeth glaring back at him, could they see that these weren't loving eyes

Stupid grey eyes, why was he blessed with eyes only 3 per cent of the population have, when he didn't care. He didn't even properly maintain his eyes, he was meant to be taking eye drops three times a day and those boxes I had bought him were  no doubt sitting on his work shelf untouched.

He didn't deserve those eyes, though they were a very nice colour of grey. If they weren't glaring at me, maybe they would look better. They were more of a darker grey than light grey actually, maybe he had a pigmentation of brown in there.

I hope he did, it would make him a little less special. He didn't need special eyes as well as a good life, good features and a somewhat okay body. You can't have them all. I guess he didn't, since he couldn't pull a girlfriend and needed to hire me.

Haha.

Okay Rory, you try and make yourself feel better, you're not hurting a dent in his stock share so he won't care either way. And now I was staring at him.

No, stop staring at him. But it was hard cause he was staring right back at me, and I was wondering if we were doing a staring contest. If that's the case, I won cause those pretty eyes blinked more than three times at me, with those long eyelashes he also didn't deserve.

"Are they gone yet?" I asked, feeling it weird that I was staring at his face too long. Concentrate, stare at the eyes and not his entire face.

"I don't know," Gabriel whispering.

"Look then." I advised him obviously from the angle I was sitting they were behind my peripheral vision.

"No because then if they're there and they see me looking they're going to want to make conversation."

Right, obviously...

"Just give it thirty more seconds and we can get up and leave without looking back."

"Don't we need to pass them?"

"Can go around the bushes."

"Right, because you want to get eaten by mozzies?"

"There are no mosquitoes here," Gabriel stated.

"Greece doesn't have mozzies...wow you guys are living in the future."

"No, we do have them, just not in this location."

"How do you know? Have you tested, my arm is really itchy I think I got bit by-,"

"Thirty, let's go," Gabriel stood up, his arm still holding mine and as a consequence rudely pulling me up to stand. I wasn't read! I had to quickly find the heel I had slipped off and slip back into it, all before he took the next step making me drag behind him.

"You were counting in your head?" I asked confused. Gabriel didn't reply as he kept walking. I do sure hope he knew where he was going cause there were no lights here and I could barely see.

"Can you slow down, hard to keep up in these stupid shoes you're making me wear."

Surprisingly he did, he stopped, making me almost run into his shoulder.

Almost, because I didn't. I was tempted to tell him that I said slow down, not stop, but I bit my tongue cause at least he did slow down in one way or another. You had to take what you could get.

"Thanks," I said as he waited for me to take the first step this time. Except I had no idea where I was leading, so I just walked until he turned around, stepping in front of me to redirect me.

Soon enough we were back inside, but this side on the quieter side of the corridors when he finally let go of my hand.

I could hear the chatter and noise coming from the end of the long corridor, and I couldn't help but look over my shoulder to the other side, where the stairs were. I wondered if someone would notice if we were gone, they hadn't so far and I was sure we were outside for a long time.

Couldn't we just...go?

"Do you want to head up?"

I turned to look at Gabriel a little too fast, that my neck cracked, "Can we?"

Or at least can I go?

Gabriel looked at his watch, pausing a moment before looking at me, and then back at his watch. It was like he was having an internal discussion with himself that I wasn't invited to. So I stood there, shifting on my sore feet, say yes, say yes.

"Half an hour."

"I can only go for 30 minutes?" I asked, to clarify, cause I had no idea what he meant.

"No," Gabriel said, like I had said the most outrageous thing he had heard all night, and he scoffed, "Half an hour down here and then I'll think about it."

Okay prison warden, not like I had much choice. Oh well, at least it was warm in here. Gabriel held out his arm, and it took me a minute to realise what he wanted and I sighed, placing my arm around through his.

It was going to take some time getting used to this.
