Harry smiled brightly at his mate, he would never get over her beauty.
She was always beautiful as a human but as a vampire...she was simply breathtaking.
"I can't believe Ron's turning fifty..." Katie's silky voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Time does fly" Harry stated as they rung the doorbell.
Immediately they where greeted with Hermione Weasley, Ron's wife.
Her eyes crinkled in delight at the sight of them, a hand sifting through her greying hair.
They where ushered in and greeted by the Weasleys.
Harry and Katie made their way over to Molly who sat in a rocking chair next to her husband, knitting contently.
"Still haven't aged a day have you my dears?" Molly said, gently patting Harry's unwrinkled cheek.
She was correct of course, they hadn't aged a day since Harry had turned 17.
The day Katie had been turned.
Gently taking her hand, he squeezed it softly "of course not" a slight smirk played on his lips at the amusement filled looks sent at him by most occupants of the room.
"Harry" Ron called in delight, having just noticed the arrival of his best friend.
Embracing the older looking man, Harry couldn't help but reflect on his life...or death.
He knew his mortal friends wouldn't live forever.
He knew he would watch them deteriorate as he stayed strong.
But he had his mate by his side, and he knew he could handle it.
But for now he was going to cherish every moment he had left with the mortals.
Harry was finally happy.
