Chapter 12~ i l-love you

Ashton's P.O.V

All I see is a bright light.

And white walls.

Where the heck am I?

My eyes scan over the room and my ears pound from the annoying beeping.

I feel a squeeze on my hand, so I turn to my right. Luke has his head in his hands and is squeezing my hand every 5 seconds.

"L-Lukey?" I manage to whisper.

Luke sits up so fast, he hits his head against the wall.

I manage a small giggle, then realize what happened.

"How am I not dead?"

Luke sends me a look of sympathy. "We got you to the hospital in time, if not we could've l-lost you."

I nod turning back to the ceiling.

'But I want to die, you should've just let me die.'

Luke turns to my view with tears in his eyes. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to pressure you or anything. This is all my fault."

I shake my head, "T-this is not y-your fault, it's mine. S-stop blaming y-yourself."

Luke nods then turns back to me.

"The doctor saw your scars, but don't freak out. He was and idiot and beloved that it was from the accident."

I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding. Why does he care about me so much?

"Why wouldn't I care for you? You're my best friend."

Oh great, I said that out loud.

"Ash, you're the bestest friend I've ever had. No one knows the real me. And I l-love you."

My heart breaks, he can't love me.

"No y-you don't. Y-You're just saying that."

Luke rapidly shakes his head.

"I do love you! I can scream it at the top of my lungs, I love you Ashton Irwin!"

Tears fill my eyes and the smallest smile creeps onto my face.

"I -love you to."

Luke pulls me into a gentle hug with a squeal.

I never thought anyone would say they loved me except for my mom.

"I'm gonna help you, whether you like it or not." He kisses the scars along my arm causing my tears to fall.

Is this right?

People will judge him at school, the everything will go wrong.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
