a/n: beware, lamest fight on earth. long chapters ahead

the smile had faded from jeongwoo's lips, and an uncomfortable feeling had settled on his chest. he'd never felt this way before, and he'd never been anxious, but today was strangely different.

he keeps shifting in his seat, cold sweat beads forming on his forehead, and his heart pounding in his chest. he placed his arm on the window, shaky breath leaving his mouth. to relax himself, he clenched his chest and closed his eyes, breathing in and out.

"sir, are you okay?" the officer driving beside him asked, worry evident in his tone as he shifted his head towards him.

jeongwoo nodded "yes, eyes on the road please." the latter also nodded, now focusing on the road.

as they barged into the warehouse in an effort to rescue the kids, bullets ripped through the air, digging holes in the wall.
they had no choice, however, they're not new to this situation.

blood and dead bodies cluttered inside the warehouse, their guns aiming at each other refusing to back down.

"officer kim, what's the situation over there?" jeongwoo asked as he hid behind a wooden box, communicating with the officer through a radio in hopes to get a hold of their situation.

"similar situation sir but don't worry we didn't lost any of our men, not yet" jeongwoo heaved a sigh of relief- not long enough when someone tried to shoot him from a higher place. he was quick enough to notice and pulled the trigger, watching how the man's dead body fell on the floor creating a loud thud.

his nose crunched

that must've been painful

"save the kids" as soon as jeongwoo said those words, he jumped out and aimed his gun on the sniper that he spotted a while ago.

the children cried out as hopes of getting saved bloomed in their hearts. the sound coming from a door in the farthest back of the warehouse, thick heavy chains wrapped around the door's handle along with big locks.

sweat trickled down their faces, heavy breaths as they fought with one another. bullets rained down as jeongwoo's unit attempted to put an end to it once and for all, they needed to save the children. they charged forward, pointing their weapons at the men and killing nearly half of them.

fuck, it's just starting.

jeongwoo thought the moment he sees another wave of men appearing out of nowhere

"sir, an underground dungeon!" jeongwoo acknowledged eunsuh's words with a nod.

his jaw clenched, gripping the gun tightly as he pulled the trigger at the man who was about to shoot his comrade. the latter's face paled when realization dawned on him, he was almost killed.

a man rushes forward, his fist clenched, ready to strike jeongwoo. he swerved, grazing the man's waist with his knife, grabbing his arm and pounding on his back. as blood gushed from the wound, the man groaned and placed his right palm on his waist.

it was a deep cut, alright.

despite his wounded waist, the man attempted to attack jeongwoo again with sloppy movements. without wasting a second, jeongwoo punched the man in the face from below, causing him to fall. he had no mercy and killed him with a bullet shot through the man's forehead.
