jeongwoo felt light and warm when he woke up. a hot breath fanned against his neck, causing him to shiver slightly, he lowered his head and noticed a pair of arms hugging his waist. he turned slowly and saw haruto sleeping like a baby. his breath hitched when he realized their faces were only an inch apart, he backed away but was pulled back by a strong pair of arms.
jeongwoo almost let out a shriek when he felt haruto's hot breath closer to his neck this time, it was tickling him.
“don't move” haruto whined still sleepy and burrowed his head on jeongwoo's neck inhaling his scent.
haruto faintly laughed, “you smell good” his deep quiet voice filled jeongwoo's ears. it sounded so sexy (a/n: sobs, i cringe) that jeongwoo can't help but blush a bit.
“i know, and please stop sniffing me.” he whispered.
haruto only nodded as he wiggled and smiled, squeezing jeongwoo in a tight hug. jeongwoo turned his body to haruto's side, giving haruto the access to bury his head on jeongwoo's hard chest. haruto smiled when he inhaled jeongwoo's comforting scent, putting him into a tranquil state and dozing off back to sleep.
jeongwoo remained silent as he gently brushed haruto's hair while watching him sleep. his hand stopped in the middle when he felt his fingers itching, his brow furrowed, but he ignored it and continued brushing haruto's hair. his mind was then invaded by thoughts.
what is going on? he had no idea when they ended up sleeping together in his room, it was the second time they had done so. and, please, don't overthink things. they simply slept, okay? the first was understandable because his emotions made him vulnerable, and he desired company. the hugs and his over-comfort with the boy had happened so quickly that it had taken him by surprise. why is he trusting him? was it because he felt bad about the years haruto had suffered as a result of his actions? he wants to give him a chance, but after thinking about the conversation he had with him last night, he's reconsidering. yes, he told him that he would not force haruto to reveal all of his secrets. but doubts began to creep into his mind, why is haruto so afraid to reveal his secrets to him? he already knew that kiro was haruto's father, that same man who was the reason for his trauma. he's just waiting for haruto to tell him everything and for the boy to confirm that he is indeed kiro's son. haruka told him that kiro had lied to him that day in the basement, and that haruto was his son.
as his eyes narrowed at the sleeping boy, he felt an odd sensation settling in his chest, his fingers stopped brushing his hair.
he is kiro's son, the one he despises the most. the blood that's running through kiro's veins was the same blood that running through haruto's veins. he is certain that haruto was evil, merciless, and capable of killing anyone in the blink of an eye, just like his father. if he was really in the basement, why didn't the boy helped him and junghwan in getting out? (his memories are still a mess) maybe his fragile facade, the one he showed jeongwoo that night, was all a ruse. perhaps he was simply waiting for the right moment for jeongwoo to completely trust him and was already planning the officer's death. he clenched his fist, irritated by the fact that he was with kiro's son and they were sharing a bed. in addition, the fact that he was getting all soft whenever they were together made his chest burn with annoyance.
suddenly, he forgot about his guilt over what had happened to haruto. his mind was clouded with rage as he continued to stare at haruto, agitated by the sensation of their skin touching. he clenched his teeth and snarled at the oblivious boy.
soulmates? fuck that, your father's the reason why i'm suffering.
he hissed and pulled himself away harshly from haruto, startling the poor boy awake.
